A nothing fight. The camera is blocked. On paper a good matchup but it didn't pan out. Smith (a favorite) is an underrated scrapper and Boynton a pretty capable middle as well. Oh Well.

Good for Smith for coming to the aid of Hemsky. As bad as the Oilers were, at least they didn't want to be pushed around.

More of a hug fest than a fight; mainly because Boynton just latched on and wouldn't let Smith go.

BOYNTON DIDN'T EVEN GIVE SMITH A CHANCE TO GET READY FOR THE FIGHT. I ****IN HATE IT WHEN FIGHTS START BY SOME ***** LIKE BOYNTON JUMPING A GUY INSTEAD OF BEING A ****IN MAN AND SQUARING OFF EVENLY. BOY I TELL'S YA THE OILERS GET NO RESPECT THIS YEAR LOL EVERY OTHER TOOL ON EVERY OTHER TEAM KNOWS THAT LARAUQE ISN'T AROUND ANYMORE. THATS WHY THE OILERS ARE ALL INJURED WITH HEAD INJURIES.

Boynton needs to be beaten more like the other fight in this game.

Nick Boynton vs. Jason Smith

This fight starts in front of the Oilers bench as Fredrik Sjostrom hits Hemsey, Smith quickly takes exception and makes a beeline for the Sjostrom but Boynton gets in the way as they meet up at the Oilers bench. They throw off the gloves and grapple along the bench while attempting to throw a few punches. Moments later the fight hits the ice and while they are down Smith attempts a right. The linesmen then quickly break the fight up.
