Date / Time Away / Home Team Away / Home Player
Feb 22, 2007 Ottawa Senators Ray Emery
2pd 05:13 Buffalo Sabres Martin Biron
Comments: The two goalies decide to go at it among the rest of the chaos, each shedding their gloves, blockers, and masks and meeting at center ice. They grab ahold of each other and Emery throws five straight rights while Biron is trying to move away from the punches and eventually falls to the ice. Emery pins Biron on the ice and then eventually lets him up only to get tripped to the ice himself by Biron. Emery gets back to his feet and the two skate away from each other. Peters spots Emery over near the side boards afterwards and skates towards him with a mean look on his face. Peters grabs Emery and throws a right to start things off. One of the linesmen tries to grab Peters, but quickly decides to let them continue. Peters throws another right and Emery attempts a short right of his own. Peters connects with three straight rights to the side of Emery's head and Emery again just throws a weak right that comes up short. They exchange rights and Peters pushes Emery towards the side boards while Emery is smiling and laughing. Peters connects with another right, but the linesmen and one of the referees are right there to break things up. Other Penalties: Each player received a leaving the crease penalty and game misconduct.

HA! Let's put it this way, Mcgratton and Peters negate one another. Ottawa then has Neil, and Emery. Who does Buffalo have? Oh yeah, Mair and the new kid, Kaleta (Not sure of the spelling) First off, Neil or Emery would destroy either of those 2 guys, those guys are the caliber of a Fisher, not a Neil or an Emery.

Emery vs Biron was for fun..
Peters vs Emery though? I don't care what anyone says, you give goalie equipment to Peters or you give emery player gear, that fight's gunna be close. In fact, I'd probably put my money on Emery..

The linesman broke them up just as Emery was able to get some hits in, THAT sucks, cause you KNOW Emery had just as good a chance in that fight. Pro Boxer and all. Even with goalie pads. Without the equipment he definetly would have had the upper hand. Nobody needs to protect that guy, if anthing he needs to protect the Sens. haha. Pretty dirty start to the brawl, but the hit was a hit, Neil has an opportunity to hit a guy clean, he'll take it, star or no, whoever that player was who touched the puck was in for a bump. Its when the stars get pissed and GO AFTER the goons that its appropriate. Its pretty gross to just go straight out for the stars. Every action deserves an equal and opposite OVER-reaction. Ruff dished it pretty good.

I love the sabs but biron disgraced us right there especially with the last ditch effort to pull emery down by the leg, funny though, i always love a good goalie bout

Ruff did the right thing. Those that have played the game will understand.

I haven't seen goalies get this excited since Tommy Barrasso knocked a few teeth out of a Devil with the butt end of his stick!

fantastic, especially when biron pulls emery down and then peters owns emery so hard.

It was pretty boring and neither of them seemed very serious about it at all, they were both smiling and kind of like eh everybody else is doing it, what the hell, why not?
That being said, the Shields v. Snow fight is still the best goalie fight ever.

It was kind of funny when Biron was like, "all-right, I give," and then he tripped him with his pad.
