A scrum develops along the benches with both Nolan and Nick Boynton trying to get at Jody Shelley while Konopka tries to prevent the two from reaching him. Shelley is eventually separated from the crowd and sent on his merry way. While this is happening, Nolan and Konopka drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other. Konopka starts things off with two rights and Nolan quickly returns fire with a flurry of six of his own. Konopka responds with two wild rights that connect and send Nolan falling to the ice. Konopka gets in another right while Nolan is down and Nolan turns the tide by tackling Konopka to the ice. The linesmen immediately jump in and break things up before anything else can happen. Other Penalties: Nolan, Nick Boynton and Jody Shelley each received a roughing.

Konopka early, Nolan late.
Nolan's moment was better though.
When Nolan started losing his balance, Konopka landed one.
Konopka gets top of him.
Nolan with the best punch.
A DRAW, spirited fight.

Owen Nolan vs Zenon Konopka

A team scrum develops and everyone comes in. Jody Shelley and Oleg Saprykin exchange shoves, and Shelley drills Saprykin with a solid left, and Saprykin dropped, although Shelley's gloves were still on. After that, everyone tries to get Shelley, but the linesmen are trying to break everything up. Boynton and Shelley exchange a couple punches between the linesmen, and have a fiesty conversation. It looks as if it was Boynton who cut Shelley, with the lefts he threw. Shelley falls back right in front of the Coyote's bench, right in front of Georges Laraque. Laraque is seen talking to Shelley, and Shelley turns around saying "F*ck you". After that, Shelley skates away, and he is cut under his right eye, and on his lip, with blood pouring out. Eventually Nolan and Konopka seperate and begin to throw punches. Shelley blasts somebody, and everyone goes after him. Shelley skates off with blood pouring from his cheek and lip, and Konopka and Nolan have a go. Nolan's helmet is off from the beginning, and they each exchange rights. Konopka connects with two solid rights, sending Nolan to the ice. Konopka continues throwing punches, and Nolan tackles him, and the linesmen move in.

DRAW considering Nolan was off balance and Konopka kept punching after Nolan fell. Decent little exchange.
