Jan 16, 2007 St. Louis Blues D.J. King
1pd 05:05 Anaheim Ducks Shawn Thornton
Right off of the faceoff the two drop the gloves and square off near the blueline. They grab ahold of one another and King starts things off with a flurry of four rights to the body and helmet of Thornton. They then go toe-to-toe with punches for a short moment: Thornton with lefts; King going with the right. Thornton stops throwing and King continues to pump away with the right hand, landing four unanswered shots. Thornton returns fire with a short right and King throws one of his own as well. King throws another overhand right, but Thornton loses his balance and falls to the ice. King lets Thornton get back up to his feet, but the linesmen are right there to intervene.

D.J. King vs Shawn Thornton

A scrum develops in front of the Duck's net, involving King, O'Brien, and Parros. At the next face off, King lines up beside Shawn Thornton, and they drop the gloves right off of the draw. They square off, and King throws a few rights, none hitting the target, and Thornton responds with one right, possibly connecting. King rips Thornton's helmet off, then connects with a solid right. Then, Thornton rips King's helmet off, and King starts throwing a flurry of rights, as Thornton is throwing a flurry of lefts, both connecting with a few solid punches! King throws a couple more rights, hitting the side of Thornton's head, then Thornton switches back to his right hand, connecting with a solid right. King connects with a couple more rights, causing Thornton to lose his balance, falling to the ice, and the linesmen move in.
