Nov 14, 2006 Minnesota Wild Derek Boogaard
2pd 02:33 Phoenix Coyotes Georges Laraque
Comments: The two drop the gloves and square off to the left side of the Phoenix net. Boogaard grabs ahold of Laraque's jersey and connects with a right just before throwing two more. Laraque responds with a wild left that knocks Boogaard's helmet off, but Boogaard loses his balance and goes down to his knees, allowing Laraque to throw a flurry of three quick lefts while Boogaard is getting back up to his feet. Boogaard gets Laraque turned around and connects with a right to the back of his helmet, but Laraque quickly rights himself and throws five short rights to the top of Boogaard's head. Laraque then pushes Boogaard down to the ice and the linesmen quickly come in.

Laraque looked better, controlling Boohgaard but fails landing anything solid/big or good.
In fact Boogard did lands one very good/big punch, and might have land another one at the start.
A nice takedown by Laraque, calm move again by him.,
A DECENT DRAW.

Laraque is too strong for Boogaard. Boogaard needs to learn balance and add some more muscle, which I shouldn't be saying considering he tips the scales at 270! My god he should be throwing Laraque around like a rag doll.

Boogard should just quit going after Laraque before Big George really hurts him. Another win for George

Boogaard is a great all-round hockey player, but his posistion most known for on the Wild's bench is the enforcer. Boogaard is a phenomenal competitor, but his lack of balance can really play a factor in his game. None the less Boogaard owns many NHL players this fight not being one of his better moment's. He rocks. nough said bitches

BGL has awesome balance......this is the championship fight, hes the best around now!

Laraque just throws as many fast, weak lefts as he can every time he fights. Neither of them beat the other up, which, when it's the two best fighters in the NHL going, means it was a draw. When one knocks the other down without wrestling, we'll have a champ.

That first punch Boogaard threw, man if that connected I think we would have had a new champion, but that didn't happen. What happened was Laraque out skilled and out hit Boogaard then threw the much bigger combatant down hard. Laraque is a f*ckin beast!

That is a draw. The push in the end should not push this towards a win for Laraque. I really want to see these two go again soon. I think Boogey is a better fighter, and yes, size helps.
