Nov 14, 2006 New Jersey Devils Cam Janssen
1pd 02:32 New York Rangers Colton Orr
Janssen knocks Orr to the ice with a hit along the boards, causing Orr to get up and go right after Janssen and the two drop the gloves. They grapple, each trying to get free and land a shot until Orr starts things off with a few short rights. Janssen comes back with a right just as Orr opens up and they go back and forth with the right hand. They tie up once again until both create some distance and go toe-to-toe with punches: Janssen goes with the right, Orr switches hands and tries the left. Orr lands three straight lefts just before Janssen returns fire with a right and the two go back and forth with rights once again. Janssen throws a mix of a couple rights and uppercuts with Orr getting in a left, but the linesmen grab the two while they are still going, ending the fight.

orr is ready to go after janssen leaves his feet to hit him along the wall. orr dominates early as janssen is barely even able to throw any, and orr feeds him a steady diet of mostly rights. they grapple for position as orr continues to throw, and janssen counters with a few glancing blows of his own. orr gets him right on the button with one shot, and janssen wrestles away. janssen establishes position and comes back at orr over the top, who answers with some powerful lefts. janssen wrestles again, then throws a couple rights over the top at orr, who is hanging on. janssens changes position and tries to come up under, orr absorbs a few shots and grabs on, and the linesmen break it up. slight edge to orr for more shots gotten in, especially early, and a better quality of shots, although janssen did get in a few good ones as well...leave it to mike emrick to make the devil sound good, of course. but orr took this decision, barely, but he still took it.

It was a good fight. I just think Orr landed more powerful punches. Don't get me wrong... It was very close. Draw!

I'd have to give this one to Orr on points for number of solid shots landed. I think those shots pissed Janssen off. Only thing that kept it from being a TKO is that Cam Janssen finished strong, making it look close.
I don't think he landed very many at the end for all the flailing about...at least, if he did, Orr didn't look fazed by it.

Janssen, if you watch closely, doesn't land more than a couple of punches throughout, while Orr connects with several good blows.
