marginal win Domi- i didnt like the clowning at the time, but it was part of his on-ice personality and the NYR fans adored it. Domi threw more and better Prob had has hands up defensively through much of the fight, not to mention Probert was hurt. Round 1 goes to Domi. . .

Domi cuts Probert, and with his 'belt' antics sets up one of the greatest fights of alltime in the rematch. Thats not to say this was a bad fight, its a classic in its own right. Nice linebrawl after also.

The fact that Domi was an unknown at the time and he opened up Probie, when Probie was one of the best fighters in the league; I give Domi the win hands down. Extra points for the antics afterwards, not too many guys could do that and back it up like Domi could.

I can't seem to figure out how Domi thinks he won this fight... Looked pretty even to me if not in favor of Probert... and I've watched it many times.

I'm thinking Domi was euphoric just walking away even up on Probert in his prime.

If you take away Domi's antics and the "revenge" rematch fight then I think Probert wins this fight. But Domi won the event.

looked like Probert was connecting more and Domi was swinging. Probert was blocking with his forearm and counter-punching. when he started to toss him around the refs stepped in.

and who was that clown ref watching the 2 roll around and wait for the linesman? terrible.
