| Some good hitting along the boards leads to hot tempers and everyone on the ice gathers in. Rupp drops the gloves with Hinote and ragdolls him as the rest of the players push and shove. Severson, playing in his first game with Columbus, separates away with Brad May and they agree to go. May starts off with three hard lefts to a ducking Severson, one of which looks to land. Severson recovers and ties May up momentarily. May again gets the left free and drills Severson with two very hard shots. Severson ducks and eats two more good lefts, before dropping to his knees where May gets in two last lefts to the back of his head. Severson gets back on his skates, but has no fight left in him and the linesmen come in to break it up. Other Penalties: Dan Hinote received a roughing; Michael Rupp a double roughing. | ||
