Behind the play the two drop the gloves and grab on. Hoffman lands three quick rights to start things off. Hoffman then gets Vandermeer's jersey over his head and throws eight more rights as Vandermeer puts his head down to avoid the punches. Hoffman throws two short uppercuts before pulling Vandermeer down to the ice. Vandermeer's head bounces off of the ice, leaving him with a cut over his right eye as he skates to the penalty box.
