Wow people, whatever happened to the saying it takes 2 to fight... Spot picker? Are you serious, first off its hockey, not soccer. Duagavins was sticking up for a teammate, and happened to challenge a fighter who is 50% better. Who cares what nationality the person is, what's Rinaldo supposed to do, look like a wuss and not fight after the opposing team was already after him anyway? And Harry Z's hit was completely clean, obviously his feet were up after the impact. When two 150+ people collide at that speed obviously it's going to make some pact. I just love how the same people who act like they're such critical hockey fight judges are the ones who complain and whine about hits, like this completely clean one here.

No excuse for Harry Z. Suspend him for three games, minimum. That's twice in two games he's pulled that head-hunting stunt. This time Z. is going to get zapped by the league office.

As for Rinaldo on Daugavins, that's like Germany invading Poland. No contest.

Rinaldo is enough of an agitator that even the mild-mannered Alfredsson attacked him at the end of the game.

@cible, yeah Neil and Smith went after 5'10" Rinaldo all game, but when the Sens played in Toronto, Smith and Neil were invisible whenever Orr and/or McLaren were on the ice so STFU. Neil is the biggest spot picking bag of garbage in the league, you calling Rinaldo a spot picker and then defending Neil really leads me to believe that you're low functioning. Having said that, Zolnierczyk was wrongfully accused of a dirty hit on Perreault a few games ago, which the league has since rescinded the major penalty on and this hit was clean too. If you're going to cut across the blueline with your head down, you're going to get belted, PERIOD. Finally, Rinaldo just paired off with Daugavins, who did not have to fight, Rinaldo definitely held up so I don't see what you're complaining about!

Great hit and it's perfectly legitimate for Rinaldo to take that Euro out of the scrum and fill him in. In fact, that needs to happen more often in this league until teams start dressing toughness on all lines instead of just the fourth line. HOWEVER, what is totally indefensible is that Rinaldo was again declining invites all game. He even choose to take a dive after the Alfredson cross check instead of answering. And I say again because exactly the same thing happened against the Leafs - Rinaldo running around and not stepping up. Appropriately, in that game, the result was that another Flyer got his face broken. Next time Rinaldo, hopefully.

Daugavins has to know who he is locking up with. Punk ass move by Rinaldo, fighting a Euro non fighter. In related news, the Leafs offer Kessel, Van Riemsdyk and first rounder for Rinaldo. You know exactly what I mean BillyJack. Daugavins isnt a fighter and didnt want to fight. Did you actually watch the video? I hope Scott, Orr, or Neil kicks the crap out of Voracek, then maybe you'll get it.

Rinaldo follows up a superior hit
by pulling a unqualified opponent
out of a scrum

Kaspars...
much like Nikita before him...
is not exactly a name
that would seem to immediately strike fear
in the hearts of future combatants

Kaspar the Friendly Euro looked like a ghost in this scrap... Francesca Rinaldo smokes an unqualified opponent...

I think the hit was fine. Don't cut across the middle blind. Typical Ronald though, as he picks his fights as bad as Avery did...

Note to visored Euro folk: don't skate into a scrum and grab Rinaldo if he already has his gloves off.

What a hit!!! Better than the fight. Daugavins got handled rather easily by Rinaldo.

@KO22 - well said, I couldn't agree more.

If you do not want to fight than do not jump into the scrap. It is that simple. Win Rinaldo
