Other angle of incident shows Penner two handing Schneider, a non-fighter, in the back of the legs, then chasing him down, sucker punching him, then repeatedly pounding on him when he's obviously a non-interested combatant. Gutless and cheap. If you like goon thuggery, then this is the fight for you.

2/28/13 UPDATE - Penner was suspended for the rest of the regular season and playoffs and is open-ended. Meaning, if he wants to play in CHL again, he has to have a hearing to do so.

If you saw this fight, then you would say that Penner won the physical fight. What Penner did, though, was not a typical hockey fight. Penner attacked Schneider from behind. When Schneider was down on the ice and bleeding, Penner pinned him down with his knee and continued to beat down on him. This was not a hockey fight. This was intent to injure another player. The real win goes to Schneider. Penner deserves to be booted from the sport permanently.
