Weise gets jumped but still lands more meaningful shots for the surprising win

Not sure what fight most of you watched.. Weise lands more, and who says a take down wins the fight?? Really?? Edge to Weise!

First Weise win don't count the first few.

Second Hawks dirtiest team? Canucks pull hair (burrows), bite(burrows again) , 6v1 (shawn thorton last year, they all still ended up getting their bitch asses beat in), pretend like there going to fight than skate away when the other guy drops (weise when thorton tried to square up after getting jumped).

You wonder why literally every other team and fan base cant stand Vancouver and their own city destroying simpleton fans.

What "clean hit"?!!! For crying out loud look at Weak leave his skates to deliver the hit, exactly what the league prohibits to limit all of the concussions. Too bad that Bollig didn't just kick his ass in retaliation.

Weise connected more than bollig, bolligs only good punch was before weise knew what was going down. i hate the canucks but weise won in my opinion

All around win for Weiss. Got a great hit and nailed Bollig with a bunch of good hits.

Even if you give Bollig 2 for the take down, he still lost.

Can't count Bollig's first two sucker punches. Good fight overall but Weise landed a few nice ones early. Win Weise. BTW Bolhead did a great job talking at Hansen after the tap he gave Hossa.

I thought Weiss did alright after getting attacked before he had his gloves off, but on the other hand, wasn't Weiss 2 feet in the air when he applied the hit. I usually like the big hits and don't like that they have to fight alfter the hit, but that hit looked like he launched himself way in the air and he should have been penalized for sure. Slight edge to Bollig.

@ The Mad House

going after star players with flying elbows sound familiar?
the hawks are a dirty cheapshot team always have been.
the fight was started by a sucker punch.
edge weise

Good for Bollig, he did his job. Weise left his skates to throw that hit, and Bollig responded by dropping his gloves and honorably gave Weise an opportunity to drop his. Bollig rightfully started feeding Weise after Weise decided not to drop his gloves; it's not Bollig's fault Weise chose not to drop his gloves. Bollig's job was to hold Weise accountable, and he did it, period.

Yes Weiss left his feet a little, but no call does not give Bollig the right to sucker punch him with his gloves still on. The homer announcers are brutal. Edge to Weiss for the comeback.

Good to see the Canuck fans out in force after one of their merry men manages to not get beaten senseless. Weise is a horrid fighter and even though he winged a few lefts in there he did nothing to actually win this fight seeing as how it wasn't much of a fight. Weise is the absolute best in the league at being a teams toughest guy but never wanting to drop the gloves, that's his signature move.

I didn't think it was that bad a hit but Bollig felt like taking it out on Weise and I have no issue with that. I do have an issue with Vancouver's toughness as a team, however. They haven't had a respectable character guy since Rypien left the squad and until they address it they'll always fall short. Edge Bollig.
