What crap fight. Props to Thornton for restraining himself. He could have ended Toews career.

Toews so desperately wanted the fight and then lost in poor fashion. Overall kind of a lame fight, but satisfied with the result

There are two things Jonathan Toews is not good at:
1. Acting
2. Fighting

Sorry, Toews, but you should stick to scoring goals.

These two have a history. Toews said in interview after the game that it was about time he stuck up for himself against Thornton.

Scuffle between the two last year:

For those that obviously didn't know, Thornton gave JT his concussion last year with some cheap shot in SJ. Toews fought his own battle. Glad to know most of you slamming Toews knew that in advance....

Toews looked like a goon out there, should be embaressed

Jeez....the comments bashing Johnny on here are sickening.....you wish Toews was your captain.

Why is everyone hating on Toews. Thornton sucker punched him last year and he wanted some revenge. Yea Toews ends up losing the fight but give the guy some credit. He put a spark under his team and they ending up playing great from that point on.

TOTAL DRAW. What are you all looking at? Now, that doesn't mean that I don't think Thornton couldn't take Toews, but he didn't here. Joe swung more, but neither landed anything. PERIOD

Funny reading the comments here about how Thornton wasn't "interested" in the fight...when is Thornton ever interested? He is a ghost for that team when it counts the most.
I'm a Hawks fan, and even I don't see how anyone could possibly think Toews won that fight. None of this "he won the war" stuff. This is about the battle, not the war, and Toews got manhandled very easily here. I give Toews all the respect in the world for settling his own business, but definite win for Thornton. Wasn't even close.

Toews is not a fighter, give him "props" for standing in there whatever his reason was. Cross checking Thornton and then skating over to follow up. Thornton win. lucky for Toews Joe has mellowed. Otherwise Jonathan would be in a coma right now.

Thornton didn't even want to fight. If he was interested at all he would have put Toews in the hospital.
