A frustrated Gallagher sneakily succeeds
in getting Kostka's helmet off early

but he then lacks the ability to capitalize on it
and eventually finds himself ice slammed
by the larger Leaf

Gallagher got what he deserved. Just because you don't run over the goalie yourself doesn't mean you don't cause the goalie to get run over. Gallagher knew exactly what he was doing. And Kostka made him pay for it

Gallacher was schooled in every aspect of the game last night, Phaneuf had put him hard on the boards a number of times and then Kostka finished off the humiliation with this fight.
