Thornton goes in with nothing to lose. He is outweighed by 85 lbs and a foot shorter. IMHO Scotts a coward for picking Thornton to go with. Theres always Chara or McQuaid if he wanted to go. Thornton was expected to lose, but most of the time he STILL gets the job done. So Scott looks like a punk no matter what the outcome. He just pizzed of the Bruins by doing that, and now the bruins will respond with a BLOWOUT. Watch.
@GO16. i didnt quite understand your comment. Thornton should take more boxing lessons? tell me Mr. Knowledge, when was the last time you saw Thornton lose? i can tell you last time Scott lost, that would be the only other fight he has had this year. ohh and that won ended in him getting TKO'd. Scott has no skill all he is, is a 6'8 270 pound Wall who can be taken down fast. Thornton couldnt do it this time, but doesnt really matter. cause when it comes down to it, Thornton actually has a legit position on his team, not just to go out there and fight on occasion like Scott who is only playing because his team cant stand up for themselves. but other than that Scott with the win
@web1350, " typical a$$h0le Bruin fan"? haha, when you are a fan of a team that seems to win alot and that team happens to be the toughest in the league. you tend to be able to be an asshole and back it up haha. what team are you a fan of?
Got to love all the pathetic Bruins haters on here. Guys like Scott are a disgrace to the game. He's got no business on any NHL team. He can fight, too bad he can't do anything else. I think Thornton had 15 goals last year and can actually play the game as well as fight.
The Bruins have an entire team full of players who can all play, and almost all of them can also fight. That's what makes a team tough. Buffalo is a puss bag team with a few goons. There's a difference.
And for all of you questioning Thornton's toughness, he's got huge balls for even taking on a guy who's that much bigger. You'd all soil yourselves if Thornton or Scott came near you on the ice.
