Clean or dirty, you go high on a guy wearing a C and you better be ready to go. O'Byrne's not a fighter (hence the visor) but he did what a teammate does and Stuart had nothing for him. Sharks announcers should stick to water polo.

Stuart targeted the head with his forearm.

Nice hit, O'Byrne with the win, hate seeing guys jumped for playing the game physically tho.

Stuart was doing a bad Scott Stevens impersonation by sticking that elbow into the high flying Landeskog, who's a valuable piece of real estate to the Avs. O'Byrne did what had to do but he took a lot of penalties for his effort.

What in the hell is wrong with these announcers?!

(1) That hit was not a clean hit by the NHL's too high standards and (2) even if you thought it was clean, how can you not love seeing guys sticking up for team mates? That's what makes hockey great!

God the Sharks announcers are bat**** stupid.

Come Drew Remenda -- you know why this happens in the NHL -- Stuart hit the young captain high. Win o'byrne (and around 19 minutes of penalties for his effort)

I'm going out on a limb here and would say that was a borderline head shot ( ?? NHL rules )...
Not blaming Stuart, but he perhaps could have eased off on the hit ? The guy's head was in a vulnerable position even though it was a 'clean' shoulder contact.

Looks like O'Byrne has found a new home where he fits in well...good on him.

Nice clean hit, and it's unfortunate Stuart took a complete beat down for it.

"That is the criteria as I understand it", LMAO. The definition of instigator is to incite an unwilling opponent into an altercation (fight). Therefore, leaving your position on the ice to ask somebody to fight is not instigating. THAT is why the "instigator rule" is the dumbest rule in pro sports. Get rid of it. Having said that, lame fight!!!

this is a stupid fight over a great check

O'Byrne punishes Stuart for the dirty flying elbow to the head of Landeskog. Burish tries to intercept but O'Byrne already has his target.

WIN O'Byrne.

You lead with your forearm to an opponents head, you should have to fight. Don't see what the announcers were complaining about.

Great hit by Stuart, but looked like a chump in the fight. Nice ass whoopin' by O'Byrne.
