Keith Ballard vs Corey Perry

Typical Perry. Jumps Ballard after declining to go man-to-man several times.

I give it a draw because it would have been a draw at best if Ballard had a chance to get his gloves off.

Ballard easily won (90%+) their past two fights. I guess Perry decided the only way to beat him was to jump him.

You "a fight is a fight" idiots must be either Anaheim homers or Canuck haters. The fact that Ballard didn't even get a fighting major says it all. In fact, it should have been a double minor for roughing and a GM to Perry.

Perry has no guts. Van lost the game last week, ahh well, they knew it was one game and had to get used to playing again. They did nothing dirty, or tried going after anyone.

Perry, thinks he is tough and tries to get Edler to go with him earlier in the third.... Edler sees no point with the score, and someone above was right. Edler would of caved Perry's face in. Perry continues and tries going after hansen? Hansen doesn't fight ever, not his game but good try Perry.

So in a last ditch effort to get the sad Anaheim fans some money's worth in their equally embarassing home opener as was Vancouvers.... he mugs Ballard. Weak move. He'll pay for it again. Ballard tuned him last few times (given the opportunity to know he was going to fight) makes a big difference.

Ripping gloves off quickly and hitting someone unsuspecting is not a fight. This was not a fight. This was dirty. Exactly why he got 5 and Ballard got 2.

Notice Perry did not try to go after Kassian, Volpatti, Bieksa, or Weise.

Perry gets the loss for this not being a fight. And for him just being a complete plug.

Corey Perry is a douche! What a classless move by one of the biggest cowards in the NHL. Why didn't he ask Bieksa, Kassian, or even LaPierre to go? Early running for Coward of the Year award!

Perry was frustrated and was looking for a dance partner. Ballard happened to get in his way and got his gloves off, but that's as far as he got. No excuses for Ballard here, here's a rugged dman that's been in his fair share of scraps. Win Perry.

Perry decides that down 4-0, it's time to fight. After Hansen declines the invitation, Perry elects not to give Ballard an option. Perry wins, I guess, if winning is grabbing a guy and punching him until the linesmen step in.

Where's the response to the mugging? That's why Vanc will always be considered a pus*sy-ass team. Perry probably jumped him for Ballard tackling him about a year ago.

Perry must have read the Vancouver fighting playbook before this one, it's almost like he should have been wearing their uniform.....

Can't call a win for either guy, definitely a draw. Perry only fights guys when they don't expect it then jerseys them before they get their gloves off. Always hated perry. He's just lucky edler isn't a fighter, guy is a friggin brick and would have destroyed him. Ballard challenged Perry numerous times but he pussied out. U SUCK PERRY!!!!!!!
