The camera director was more interested in the coaches cackling at each other than he was showing the fight. Simmonds is not in Engelland's league, however, so we all know how that one turned out. Too bad Pierre din't catch a knee or something during all this....

Props to Simmonds for stepping up but then getting pounded by Engelland. The guy has taken pucks to the mouth, including yesterday, but then this. I hope the team has good health care coverage.

The fight I'd pay to see is Chief Berube (in his prime) with Arron Asham.

Win Pittsburgh

I think Laviollette and Berube would talk Bylsma and Granato easily. Ha! maybe we will see that one come playoffs. This is going to get uglier. If the Pens think that Rinaldo won't go after Crosby because of his deity status, they are crazy. Oh, and in the fight, win for Engelland although Simmonds held his own.

maybe laviolette needs to be pissed off at the D that fed briere the suicide pass, or even mad at danny for skating with his head down. That's the cause of the whole thing. as for the hit, perfectly clean text book hit. Who give a rats nut if the 4th line was on the ice? I coach, if my teams getting whipped and my scorers aren't doing crap all hell yeah my grinders are playing. Schenns crosscheck was a chicken move, throw that from behind then skate away at 3 times the speed you were going before you threw it? The whole thing was stupid, all over a clean hit on a guy skating with his head down after taking a suicide pass.

Flyers fan since the mid-eighties... didn't see anything wrong with the hit and if the shoe were on the other foot I would want the Flyers to go down fighting like the Pens did. It's not like they called up Mac for the game so calm down fellow Flyers fans. No point in whining like Crosby about this. We all know the Flyers are pretty weak in the pugilism department regardless of haow many minutes they have and signing Carcillo while letting Asham walk was just plain stupid as we see here... but that game all but stops in the playoffs anyway, so who cares at this point in the season?
As for the fight... Engelland tunes Simonds early, then they both rest for a bit until the zebra arrives. Simmonds doesn't back down but doesn't land anything more than a gentle facial noogey or two, so win Engelland.

Simmonds should bring Engelland into the depths of Scarborough West Hill. I guarantee a different result would happen.

Wayne Simmonds got ragdolled? Wayne Simmonds goes after non fighters? You've got to be the most retarded person on the face of the earth if you say either of those. Considering Simmonds has a stitched up face and got punched from behind twice and still ended up getting the hardest punch int his fight, I wouldn't really say he got ragdolled. Cindy was slashing the whole ****ing game, I think you Pens fans are leaving that out. A proffesional NHL player gets knocked over from a simple little bump, I think that's more embarrassing for him. Please stop talking you guys just sound retarded. Who won anyway?

Former US Olympic teammates and Ranger draft picks in Laviolette and Granato. Probably know each other pretty well. Win Engelland

From what you could see of the fight, Engelland landed some good shots and Simmonds didn't land any. The star players like Crosby, Malkin and Ovechkin are always slashing, taking runs and running their mouths and they KNOW they're protected! Get rid of the instigator penalty and see how fast a lot of the cheap shots end. Side note: Craig Berube was the toughest guy on either bench today!

Engelland wins too bad we didn't get a line brawl

Vitale knocks Briere into next week. Simmond tries to jump Niskanen and Schenn attempts to jump Vitale. Adams jumps Bourdon, Asham pounds Schenn while Kubina tries not to get killed, and Engelland pops Simmonds. Meanwhile, Briere skates away and Vitale is left skating around trying to find someone to fight.
