First off, Original6 whatever your name is, you must have taken some hard punches from a Bruin or something, cause I never mentioned Neely or Probert. I said if Scott, or Rupp for that matter, wanted to fight Lucic or Chara, they know how to do it. Run them or another skilled player hard and they'll have their fight. It NEVER happened dude! Scott waited til the game was over to try and play tough guy with Chara. He challenged Thornton, but not Lucic or Chara. And let's forget Rupp, Chara would beat him and Lucic would tear him apart.
The B's don't have to prove anything to anyone, they just finish what other teams start. They are the champs and they are the baddest team in hockey, STILL! They handled the Rangers fine. The Rangers still had Scott without a fight, but the B's had Thornton, McQuaid and Chara rested and waiting. The B's have enough to counter any team right now. Some teams may have one guy tougher than a Bruin, but the B's have about 5-7 guys ready to drop em every night! End of story.

Despite ''the size of the fight in the dog...''
Prust simply couldn't overcome such a significant size difference,
as Lucic showed no mercy while displaying his
ever-improving, fighting ability.

Great stance, and those lefts, had nasty written all over them.

Brandon Prust's new slogan should be, "In your guts, you know he's nuts."

Prust challenged Lucic after Boston scored to rev up his team and Lucic proceeded to put a dent in his skull with a bone crushing left. Ouch!

I love both these guys, but it is said to see Prust fighting Lucic with Rupp and Scott on the team. Bad decision by Prust, needs to know when to pick his spots and this one was very predictable.

It hurts me to put Prusty on the losing side of a "not close" fight, but Lucic is just too big and strong for Prust.

These two players are in my top 10 favourites...
As far as I can remember, probably the worst beating Prust has received,
Different weight classes , and it showed.
Tough lesson for Prust. Ouch.

I'm a Bruins fan, and I have a great deal of respect & admiration for Prust. Love the guy. But he did choose a poor spot here. And you would think that once he got his arm free of the jersey, he would have inflicted damage. But Lucic did a good job of neutralizing that.
Lucic is not my favorite player. Takes too many dumb penalties and loses control entirely too often and does stupid things (remember when he dragged Komisarek down by his face a couple years ago?) I wish he could stick to his game, which is throwing his body around and winning puck battles. The stupidity hurts the team, end of story. That's why I'm not really a fan.

But Christ, what a left.

Lucic with the win, throwing bombs southpaw style. Props to Prust, a character guy with sack.

Now on to the real issue for all the cry babies who like to spout off about the reigning Stanley Cup Champs (that every team is trying to style their play after, except for a couple delicate "finesse" teams). Thornton is barely a heavyweight (6'1" / 200) and in nearly every fight he is outsized... Big John Scudd.. (6'8" / 255).. It's Chara, Lucic, or McQuaid, challenge them, don't ask them for the Chicago Steamer... but Coran?? Get off the ice as your best contribution was in the locker room toilet.. Make sure you wipe.

Lucic destroys Prust, simple as that. That last left was attempted murder. Prust has courage, but Lucic is a tough boy. Lucic by a country kilometer, 6.

Prust tried but Lucic is one of the top fighters. It was the end of the fight that sealed it for me.

dominated ,all LUCIC. have to laugh fan hoping for a CHARA /SCOTT fight .why would CHARA waste his time fighting a guy with no hockey skills? .would be an awful trade off .maybe in a blow out ,but not in this game .

Prust issued the challenge and Lucic obliged. I'm sure there will be people spouting off with their "spot picking" nonsense. Prust (who I like) asked for it and he certainly got it. Speaking of issuing challenges, what was up with the so-called reigning heavyweight champ John Scott challenging 20 year old, shield wearing, non-fighter, finesse player Jordan Caron three time today. Chara skated over to him in the first period and big John didn't seem to have much to say...
