''That's gonna leave a mark''.

Unlike Thornton, it becomes apparent, early on,
that Weber has never thrown a left in his life.

That was absolutely brutal to watch live--major knockdown for Thorny. But did he jump on the ice to join the play or to do a hit on Weber?

Several Bruins players led by Thornton, Lucic and McQuaid should have all been given game misconducts. They didn't come to Buffalo to play hockey and the final score reflects it.

that was what happens to accountants in the prison yard

Hey, like it or hate it but this is what Thornton is paid to do.
Total beat down and left handed too !
This is what Laraque did NOT do for the Habs and why Thornton is still playing today...

First off, I'm a Bruins fan. That said, I have no problem with Pominville chirping Thornton after this one cuz Thornton took on a non-willing guy who doesn't fight much. That's Pominville's job as a Captain. I respect that.
The shove- that's a non-factor. That's part of the game. Just moving him out of the way and reminding Pominville he's there. Someone suggested a suspension- obviously that's a ridiculous statement.
But this isn't good on Thornton- no need to drop them there- as an enforcer, you gotta know who the other guy is, and what type of game he plays. I don't care for this behavior. Just shove/toss him around a little- that gets the point across. Weber and Thornton had words earlier in the game- I'm sure that played a part.

This wasn't a common Thornton move, as he immediately pummels Weber prior to doing his usual usual square off.... Not that there was anything wrong with it as Thornton reigns Southies all over Weber's GRILLE!!!!

I truly love it when a man drops another with his off hand.......As long as its not me being Dropped of coarse :)

As far as Thorntons action go........Thats exactly what he is paid to do and I bet weber is a non factor next time they play

Oh dear Thorts, not a good move really, like someone said before, roughing would have sent the message across, if it was a fighter then yeah, but Weber, come on dude.

This is the very definition of what the enforcer should do.... if you play with an edge (as obviously Weber did here) or do something cheap, someone (Thornton) is going to remind you oh so quickly DON'T do that to my teammate !! Weber would not have gotten his ass kicked if he allowed the Bruin to skate by unopposed!! Good on Thornton!! This is self regulation at its finest (don't get me started on the instigator......)

POS move. I used to like ST, but he's turning into a douche'.

Win Thornton. Thornton should have known he could pummel Weber easily. Should have went for a roughing on Weber instead.

Weber takes a liberty with a Bruin, Thornton makes sure it won't happen again, good job ST
