I just saw a comment: "McCormick did ok here considering he is not a heavy...". Wtf is that? Not a heavy, or do you refer to his skill? ST took care of him and that's the end of that.

Too bad Cody didn't have any strength to stay on his feet and fight because he would have eaten quite a few knuckle sandwiches from Thorny.

Too bad McCormick fell down because it was close and when Thorton started to get advantage he goes down.

Pretty entertaining but short fight. Thornton landed the better shots. McCormick didn't do much, and he wasn't willing to take his helmet off when Thornton asked.

A lot of Boston Bruins fans on this site, but it was definitely a draw.

I keep reading that McCormick "isn't a heavy". He has an inch and a little more than 5 pounds on Thornton! Who's the heavy?
Not Thornton's best beat down, but he had a slight edge. McCormick is game, which I like. Sabres fans are D-bags. Enjoy the playoffs.... Oh... wait a minute. Probably not!

Thornton with slight edge McCormick landed first shut and nothing else and also denied lid toss.

Good go by both guys. Pierre McGuire is a turd. Should Cody just not fight Thornton because he has more NHL fights, Pierre? Cody has made his way into the league by dropping the mitts and laying hard checks, should he just not do that because its the Bruins? Cody McCormick didn't get handled or worked over they both missed and connected. To Pierre's chagrin, this one is a DRAW.

A great opening to an enjoyable game. Always love to see Boston fight, really love to see Boston lose.

Pretty even bout. Slight edge to ST. Gotta question McCormick's balls for not ditching the helmet. Too short a fight to say much more.
