Hendricks calls out Bourque,
but then, ultimately... can't back it up.

Great looking, old, Caps jerseys aside,
Hendricks missed his opportunity
to initiate a mutual lid toss, off the top.

All Bourque.

I must say I enjoyed that. Bourgue is very tough but rarely fights, he stood up like a man and pounded Hendricks. He served his 5 game suspension then served Hendricks with a smorgosboard of right hands. The announcer is an idiot, talks like Bourque is the second coming of John Scott, more or less making excuses for Hendricks getting beat up. Bourque has all of a 3 pound weight advantage on Hendricks.

Embarrassing to be a Caps fan when Hendy is the only one that steps up for Backstrom, and then Hendy loses -- although the fight was closer then some people posted

I never thought of Bourque as a fighter but he's tougher than I thought here...
He handled himself well against a reputable Hendricks.
Hab fans can only hope the trade will pay off in the long run.

I give credit to Bourque for admitting that he gave a cheap shot to Backstrom. So often guys say "I'm sorry for what happened out there" or some BS spin. Bourque said "I'm sorry for what I did." Took full responsibility. I still would have liked to see him get whupped, but Hendricks is, well....Hendricks. Where's John Erskine?

Bourque 7 career NHL fights. Hendricks 2011-12 season 8 fights. In the old days, they used to say things like "if you are going to play like that (take the body, put hits on people, play slightly dirty etc), you better back it up". Some sins were forgiven if a guy was willing to fight. I didn't see the hit, but I think Bourque backed it up.

Great way to be introduced to Montreal, besides eating poutine and the wild strip clubs of course.

Someone needs to tell Dale Hunter he is wearing a women's watch.
