Ever ineffective? Dude, you're high.

Solid Hit by Falk. Backes flies in and as best I can tell.....the only two punches thrown were by Falk. Couldnt tell if they landed, but if your going to drop the gloves, then not throw punches....you deserve to "lose" the fight......even though it was weak at best.....Win Falk simply for throwing a couple while Backes holds on.........

Big hit, and nothing during the fight. Clearly a draw.

The Blues need Perron on the ice and Backes knows this, whether it was a clean hit or not he did the right thing. Watching the replay, Falks elbow actually comes back even though his arm is in tight and it caught Perron since his head was down, don't think that Falk tried to hit him that way but...

not even a fight, really. chalk it up as a draw and a 2. big hit though, dont like to see perron hit like that.

Draw here, another clean hit (perhaps a little late) results in fight (if you can call it that) Blahh....

I give backes a -7 on this one. Someone tell him that your suppose to throw punches in a fight, not just get punched while taking Falk down.

Wasn't a very good fight. Definitely great to see the captain sticking up for a teammate, or any player for that matter, just like the clean hit from Reaves prior to the Reaves vs. Staubitz fight. I always freak a bit when Perron gets hit.

Love the Minnesota fan comments, obviously mad because they are now called a horrible name like the Wild and not a cool name like the North Stars. Perron was dumping the puck in, not like he was carrying it into the zone, which might have warrented the hit. Kuddos for Backes for sticking up for his teammate.

@ibachand - attacked from the side? don't get it at all. The video doesn't support it and I was sitting next to the penalty box and didn't see that in person either. maybe you were laying on your mom's couch so it looked sideways.

@radiotalker - totally agree

@isyspnather - no punches

@doublenickels - you should chase down being a defense attorney with the nonsense you try to promote.

I think Backes was trying to make a statement and probably regrets the outcome, however Perron had 3 Canucks corner him after a drive to the net the other night. I like that he stood up, but it cost him an entire period which wasn't worth it. Draw and a crap fight.

Why do people give decisions to guys when they don't like the motive that started the fight? You don't think Backes should have fought because it was a clean hit, so you give the win to Falk?? Makes no sense.

Clear draw. Nothing to see here.

Who the hell voted for b-bag Backes he never even threw one punch. He should have learned his lesson last year when he got bloodied up by Stoner.

Falk all the way. Backes jumps Falk after a clean hit. Falk connects with the only punches.

Backes is a nice person, but he didn't need to fight Falk. Save the fights for the dirty hits.
