Draw- Crap fight

Mike Richards was justified in letting Brenden Morrow know that his check on Kopitar did not go unnoticed. The penalties against Richards are bogus. Despite his outrage, Richards failed to achieve victory over Morrow, but it was close. Morrow gets the W.

How is that hit NOT charging? Morrow comes from the blueline, while Kopitar has the puck from past the opposite faceoff dot, coming around the net.

Yet most of you morons call it a "clean" hit. THAT is the kind of Bulls#!+ the league should crack down on. This is exactly why there are fights after "clean" hits.

What's the difference between this and Steve Ott, Chris Neal, Jordan Tootoo, Cal Cluster$#@% and their ilk jumping off the bench, skating behind their own net to the other end of the rink and drilling somebody with no call.

Totally chickens#!+. Watch it again, Morrow comes from out of frame.

Clean hit or not, sending a goal scorer into the boards like that, the fight should follow. There has to be consequences for a hit like that. The instigator penalty is the worst rule in pro sports. Morrow wins for taking out two key players.

1:49 into the video they show him come in from the blue line. He dosen't take a single stride and even puts the brakes on at the goal crease right before the hit. Thats pretty mucht the exact opposite of charging. How someone would think that is charging is beyond me.

Kopitar got caught with his head down, plain and simple. Good player or not dosen't give him the excuse to skate around with a "no one can hit me" mentality. I'll bet this bell ringing helps to reminds him to think twice about blindly coming around behind the crease (of all places to not be aware of who is around you...)

As was said, props to Morrow for taking 2 skilled players off the ice.

"velvety or angora?" are you kidding me? do the announcers have their encyclopedia out tonight?

Clean hit. The way Kopitar hit the boards is unfortunate, but it goes to show how much your head has to be on a swivel. Keep your head up, kids.

Draw, Richard landed a nice right that was only good shot of fight.
Hit was clean and another fight insues a clean hit.

@Fathead100 You need to actually read rule 42 (charging) by your standard every check would be charging. Yes he entered the frame, however he did not jump, did not even pick up a foot for that ENTIRE distance traveled and the head was not targeted. In fact Morrow made a directional change which resulted in a loss of speed. Kopitar got rocked, got a bloody nose, and finished the game in the room. It happens, it's hockey.

Morrow is a punk.

Just a solid hit by Morrow with Kopitar just falling awkward. Of course if you listen to all the little b*tch Queens fans crying, you would of thought he slew-footed Kopitar or like the violent hit by Marchand on Salo the other night.

Queens fans are like Quack fans, whiney little crybabies when the Stars kick one of their players azzes.

Richards picked a fight with Otter early in the year, and now Morrow (though commendable). Didn't do shinola against either of them.

Morrow wins, but more of a grabfest. Morrow and Benn are good players and don't fight much, but when they do, they usually kick the other guy to oblivion and just play tough, physical hockey. May want to think twice before picking a fight with either of them, unless you are just some worthless goon like Ivanans, Parros, etc.

Custombreaks did you even watch the game? Kings definitely got the raw end of the penalties tonight.
