Thornton seemed to be fighting sympathetically, at least, until his lid came off.

Terrific fight from Thorny, who also scored a shorty tonight--a penalty shot to boot! As for Stuart, learn how to throw a left, willya?

now that is the Thornton we used to see, although I agree with CloweStaube, I think he held back on not really a great opponent.

Thorton took it relatively easy on Stuart -- though Stuart probably disagrees that those chin shots were easy

A modest example that once the puck drops, there is no such thing as 'friends' on the ice.
Even though Thornton won, nice to see they respectfully took it easy on each other.

Stuart was gassed at the end of a long shift. I think Thornton did take it a little easy, realizing Stuart was gassed, and it's one of his good buddies....Stuart will always have respect in Boston- we still like the Caveman a ton up here.
And Club34- BRILLIANT.

Stuart sensablie showed Thornton a great deal of respect...Once they were engaged he really wanted absolutely no part of opening up with the seasoned and skilled Pugilist Thornton

Interesting one here. I think Thornton had felt he has had a rough couple games and was frustrated. Stick to the neck in Cashmucks game, Weiss pussin' out, phantom head shot call in this game, etc... I think when Stuey took him down, he didn't care who it was for a moment, someone was getting punched. Lol. Win Thorny

This is the type of B's team I've been waiting for since I was kid in 87-90 when we had Neely, Miller, Byers, Plett, etc... It's nice to keep rolling along with wins and play a tough brand of hockey as well. Thank God the B's won the Cup this past season, now they can just breathe and play their brand of hockey and let this one come to them this year! Go Big Bad Bruins! ....and before any haters start, I respect your teams too! There are some good, tough teams out there this year that are respectable: Rangers, Blackhawks, etc... I have to exclude the two most whiny, bunch of Sally's ever assembled though: Canucks and Canadiens. lol. I expect some anger here ;)

This was Thornton holding back against a guy he's friends with. Stuart's got a ton of guts going with Thornton, Dale Weise should take notes. Clear win for Thornton, and I still miss the Caveman.

i think Stuart realized he bite off more than he could chew, Thornton with the dominating win.

good light heavyweight tilt mostly controlled by Thornton

All Thornton. Kudos to a hockey tough Stuart......good friends, but hockey players first. Could have got ugly for Stuart. Thorntons class shows in so many ways. Time for him to get another one or two year deal.

Thornton did a good job of tying up Stuart's right and if you can't punch with your off hand in that situation you're pretty much done. It looked like Thornton held back a bit because this could have been a lot worse for Stuart.
