Watched this a few times. Kopecky with the "INITIAL" cross check , then Del Zotto with a "HIGH" cross check(the worst one). Then , say what you want, it was a SUCKER PUNCH (shades of Domi (Toronto) on Ulfie(Rangers) way back when !!!!

Can you imagine what would of happened if AVERY did that ???? !!!!!! OMG, he would have been arrested on the spot.............

Rupp took care of business, as he should have, because other than Prust, no Ranger would have done anything.................. I don't think Kopecy would have done that to a Pronger, Jovanowski, Weber or any other tough defensenman. They play again, REAL SOON ..

i'm not a Ranger or a Panthers fan, and it looks like Kopecky went to the front of the net to start some crap, he crosschecks Del Zotto first and Del Zotto crosschecks him back, as he does stick comes up and knocks off Kopecky's lid, Kopecky totally overreacts and throws the sucker punch, yes it was a sucker punch, and then Rupp pounds him, just hockey baby

Someone explain to me how Kopecky "sucker punches" Del Zotto in retailation to Del Zotto feeding him the lumber more than once? What would you rather have, Kopecky two-handing Del Zotto in return, or a punch? At least he used his fist, not his stick.

Del Zotto did get his stick up high, but that happens. A sucker punch, especially with the glove is never the solution, and Rupp did what he gets paid to do.
