Barch attempts to make his ''Panther-presence'' felt immediately,
as he steps into Palle, on his way to a hard fought loss to Thornton.

According to that ''tale of the tape''...
Does Barch really out-weigh Thornton by twenty pounds???

Barch makes an impression on his new teammates with the charge on Paille that knocked him out the game. Thorny settles the score.

Thornton got a good grip and controlled the fight -- all Thornton here

I had a feeling Barch's days in Dallas were numbered. I would have liked to see him with the habs instead.
Thornton doing his usual good job for what he's paid for,
All defence from Barch...can't blame him.

I give it to Thornton, but not by much....And the hit was pretty clean, IMHO.

Certainly all thornton....Now I dont seem to remember Barch getting his face caved in last year by him...i will check :)

Thornton with another easy win over Barch. And yes, last year when Thornton fought Barch he pretty much caved in his face as said. Barch left that game immediately for repairs to his eye/cheek.

As for the Bruin hating conspiracy theorists...you all sound like morons! First off, there has to be an actual fight going on to get third man in!! Campbell and Thornton were both willing, but Thornton took it and threw the first punch. Nothing went on between Cambell and Barch yet!
Second, even more ridiculous is that some of you want people to believe that the B's get preferential treatment?!? Ha! Yes, Shanahan secretly loves the B's for some reason so he doesn't punish Lucic...FYI. Lucic hit a goalie that was about 30 feet from his net!!! Not in the crease, like Tootoo's hit. And the refs love the Bruins so they give us powerplays...well our pp sucked last year so it didn't help anyways. Lol Some of u are too funny! Get a clue!
Lastly, face it, the Bruins are BETTER and TOUGHER than your team!!! That's why they won the cup and most of their fights! I hope other teams grow a sack and start challenging more B's to fights! I'd love more action in the games! That is all. I can't wait for Bloodonyourlips, custombreaks and ken33belanger(whatever your name is) to start spewing nonsense in here! Ha! The funny thing is Ken Belanger played with the B's in 98-99 and he was a bad ass fighter with a temper like Lucic. He played on the edge as well, but I'm not going to try to educate anyone in here. It's hopeless! Lol

Thornton.

And people stop crying that Thornton didn't get a third man in. Your all the same people that blame it on the offcials when your team loses too.

all thornton really he tied up Barch's hand

Thornton showed how to stick up for a teammate. Barch won't back down from a fight but Thornton was too much for him on this occasion.

It was clear that Barch wasn't thrilled at the opportunity to avenge the beating he took last year, but got off easy this time, only losing a contact lens. Nothing really landed by Thornton, but he gets the win for throwing them.

As for the hit, it was marginal. As for the non 3rd man in, Campbell and Barch hadn't engaged yet. As for an instigator penalty, herein lies the problem. Thornton had dropped his gloves AND elbow pads at once from the other side of the rink to go after Barch. This was without a doubt clearcut instigating. Take a look at the Gleason and Ellis fights from the previous night where they received instigators and game misconduct/misconduct respectively and see if there is any difference whatsoever in this situation.

For the Bruins to get only a fighting major out of this was rediculous, and not to beat a dead horse, yet another example of favoritism they receive. They did the right thing by going after Barch, but the refs have to be consistent on their calls. It just seems like every game another example happens. No slew foot call on Marchand, 3 rediculous icing calls against the Jets in the last minute ......, on and on it goes!!

Darn it All!! You Bruins-hating geniuses figured it out... The NHL LOVES the B's and hates every single other team... they fixed the 210-11 regular season so the B's got in the Playoffs, and then fixed each and every round so the B's would win the Cup... and you are Sooooo correct: every last one of the Bruins is a cowardly thug who cheats... HAHA isn't that great for those of us who like the Bruins, and doesn't it suck to be you pee-ons who don't?! Scoreboard LOSERSSSSS
Win Thorton
