With that many cheap shots...you jusr knew that someone was coming.

Good on Martin for the character-move, in a crappy scrap.

Believe it or not MM got the instigator and a misconduct for the non-fight that ensued while Wilson got a crosscheck for his multiple offenses against the team star Tavares.

Kudos to MM for stepping in for a fallen teammate.

If you are going to instigate, at least instigate something! Disappointing, but the right idea by Martin

Yes, laying the lumber on the other team's star player will get you some attention...
Good judgement by Martin ( even though he got the instigator).
Draw.

If there is an instigator, shouldn't there be an actual fight?

Draw, 1, but good for Martin stepping up. The instigator penalty is a joke. His star is getting tuned up and he is supposed to let it go? Please...

Props to Martin for a nice bit of enforcing. But a rubbish tilt.

Props to Martin for sticking up for Tavares. Too bad the fight didn't really get going.

Gimmie a break what was that. No fight..draw. How do you vote for either guy??? However, I love seeing Taveras get roughed up. Yet another year of bad Islander hockey anyway

Martin did what was needed to be done. He used the proper amount of force. Pims should have been Martin roughing/wilson rughing and 2 for cross checking. Putting the isles on the p.p.. Too bad the refs went overboard, Good judgement by Martin, win for handling the situation, controlling Wilson. Its all about controll here, no need to get tossed out thrownig bombs and get a bullying. The message was sent loud and clear

This is a perfect examp why NHL referees absolutely SUCK!!!! Wilson should have been give about 9 minors for the mugging of Tavares, and the ref wasn't even going to call a penalty at all until Martin came in. Look at the ref in the upper left hand side. He never calls a penalty! And the Martin gets an instigator for that? The only job that this ref should have in a hockey arena is selling popcorn.
