Poptarts does surprisingly well,
against a much more talented,
but overworked, opponent.

Not enough to win, but still...
nice to see him actually throwing something,
for a change.

Neither impressed, but the fight sparked the Bruins into winning the game. Nice to turn down the volume so Jack Edwards becomes a faint voice on the computer. Come in Jack...Jack...Jack?

I am a big Bruins fan next to the Canucks of course, but I love Boston as they actually have some entertaining fights and my Canucks win one fight a year. I still say nothing but a draw here, Thornton still rusty like the Bruins.

Knop-knop normally fight a very boring defensive style, but he showed some aggression and let loose some punches. Big Thornton fan, but this was a draw.

That was a pretty good fight....
One of the better fights I've seen by Konopka,
He was actually throwing and not just power clinching.
I think a lot of people have gotten spoiled by Thornton and have raised the bar pretty high for him. Expecting nothing less than perfection,
I have to agree with BigBadBruin22, Thornton's nuckles need some rest and the other heavies should chip in more.
Goig Draw and a 7.

I give Thornton a very slight edge...Good scrap between 2 veteran, honest pugilists. And Chris Neil didn't do anything except for some slashes and slew foots. Can someone tell me why Neil is out there on power plays?

That was a really good fight and I must admit Konapka impressed me because He never has before

that said he didn't win and it wasn't a draw.........

I also agree that Thornton really hasn't looked up to snuff ....Doing just enough to squeak wins...I think Redzilla is right about the cup hangover

As for the fight, it was pretty close. Draw to narrow win for Thornton. I haven't see Thornton lose one yet out of the 4 he's had, but he hasn't pummeled anyone yet either. He needs to get a good spontaneous angry fight soon, as oppose to these planned team boosting fights. That should help him get back to himself. That being said, he's still winning close ones because he's so technically sound.

It would be real nice if another Bruins tough guy would give Thornton's fists a rest and do their job! McQuaid and Lucic need to step up every once in a while and drop the gloves soon. I'm not talking every other game or anything, but one fight for each up to this point would help Thorton out a bit. Chara is needed on the ice and Campbell isn't gonna win many. Lucic can have 5-10 fights this season, help Thornton out, and still be an effective scorer. Perhaps McQuaid is still nervous about getting hit in the head after his second concussion. Either way, love the B's team toughness! This is the type of team I had missed for years. From 1992-2006 or so, the B's let teams push em around. It's their turn now >:)

Gooooood bout, Got to give this a draw really, looked like Z caught Thort's with a couple early on but Thort's finished strong, i'm going with a draw.

Will someone outside of Boston tell me why this isn't a draw? No one did much but flail and swing. I saw little, if anything land at all. An easy draw, with no homer-colored glasses on. (ST did face-rake ZK once or twice, maybe that's it.)

Solid fight and draw. Jack Edwards is a douche.
