Thornton's been quietly improving, of late,
and seemed to be in control, throughout...
while Vandemeer, looked unexpectedly average
as faulty equipment, and a bad jersey-grip...
conspired to magnify his uncharacteristic sucking.

Thorny was in control from the start; Vandy won't put that one in his scrapbook of fight memories.

I love Vandermere, but fighting Thornton is way too much for him, especially it this stage of his career.

Clear win for Shawn, I didn;t think that Vandermeer took on the Thorntons of the league on a face off anymore

In computer terms, I'll refer to Thornton as a ' Techy ' when it comes to fighting.
Love the way he worked his right loose to the inside,
Most impressive was his Class act (again) when Vandermeer's arms were hand cuffed by his gear...

Thornton just keeps getting better and better as a fighter....he's as legit as they come....Plus Vandy is tuff as hell also

As far as the fight I think a clear win by Thornton and I wish the linesmaen had not have stepped in,,,,,It was just about to get interesting

Very strong win for Thornton, who proves again and again he can tangle with the best of 'em.

Thornton starts off with a great grip andf throws a couple, Vandy gets out, Thornton gets a new great grip, Vandy corrects, rinse, repeat.
Vandy not an easy guy to fight and dangerous in the late rounds but Thornton had all the answers until the jersey popped off, so it never got that far. Win Thornton and a 5.

All Thornton...After a bit of a dance to start, some quick rights, followed by a sliver through the arms, finishing with a round-house left & uppercuts. I was waiting for the scissor legs & fist wiggle.....he must have been boxing in the off-season...

Thornton with the win in the fight but the Bruins with the loss in the game.
