Newbury responds to a Sarich cheap shot on Richards,
and manages to overcome a height, weight,
and 'body-visor' disadvantage...
on his way to earning a lacklustre draw.

Newbury was called up from AHL Connecticut for this role, protecting the high paid forwards like Richards and Gaborik.

draw -- seemed like an elbow to the head by Sarich.

Was it a ht from behind?Yes. Was Richards facing the boards? No. C'mon, let's not over-analyze every hit. No injury risk here, let it go. And Richards is tough enough to take a hit like that.

Newbury doing his JOB

Newbury did what he had to do. Feisty scrap but didn't really see anything good land. Going draw and 4.

if your going to challenge someone in a pathetic way you might want to actually be able to fight.. Newbury didnt do much and it looked like the Veteran Sarich didnt want to hurt the child.

If I could give that puke Sarich a minus for this fight I would. the Flamers have had 2 fights this year and their both hug/man love fests. sounds about right for the Flamers.

And Sarich wonders why nobody likes him. Good for Newberry to take exception to the cheapshot hit in the back that only pieces of **** like Sarich do. Never liked the punk....

At least Newbury's doing something Avery would NOT have done, which is drop the gloves.

wow that sucked. newbury had no chance gainst that monster visor

Newbury's hand has to hurt after drilling Sarich in the visor. Ouch. Draw or W Newbury for the aggressor; no way you can give it to Sarich.
