If you are out throwing hits like that when your team is up 7-1 you are picking a fight. Quit making excuses for Stalberg. Its the NHL!

nice chekking by the euro but rypien totally controlled this fight, moral victory for stalberg as he survived.

Not surprising that Bieksa takes an easy victory here. It still doesn't make up for the fight against Kostopoloss, who actually didn't take the loss in that fight.....for once! Even though I wish that the Nucks had more toughness and have wanted more all year, at least they're the best team in the league and a serious cup contender. So, it could be worse, they could be Calgary, who have no toughness, unless of course you take their "heavyweight" acquistion of the offseason who took a couple of shots to the side of the head in the first ****ing game of the year and couldn't play another game.

ClaireAlexande, I see your stupidity and lack of any any knowledge related to hockey has reached epic levels. Did you actually try to compare the immortal Viktor Stalberg to the last two Art Ross winners and possible league MVP's? If you wanted to try and compare Stalberg to Samuelsson both size wise and ability that would still be a stretch but to compare a guy who had less than 15 goals to 2 players who had almost 100 points each is a joke.
But then again, I should realize who made the comparison and I shouldn't be surprised, as you are the very same guy who said that Brandon Sutter easily could play on the Canucks 4th line, even though he couldn't consistently make the lineup of two BELOW average teams in Carolina and your beloved Flamers. Well done Clairey, I see not much has changed...your little brain is obviously still frozen.

I hope the Hawks unleash John Scott on this jackass.

Tville23, argument is invalid, after a late hit on kevin BIEKSA, Stalberg was ruined without landing a single punch, then turtling to escape the barrage. And if you want to see two clean hits watch Raffi in Monday nights game, and I believe if you look closely at the begining of the fight, Stalberg actually throws a slap after slashing Laperrier, but before getting his ass handed to him by Kevin BIEKSA.

Bieksa is a bitch. He got flattened and started throwing before Stalberg even know what was going on. I love how tough he became once Scott was tossed. Canucks may win the series but they'll always be a bunch a pansies led by that nutjob Luongo and the mutant inbred Sedins.

@SPL311 I'm sure putting in a 5'11" Rypien would put the fear of God into John Scott. You ****in canuck morons would bitch that he beat up your midget mascot.Maybe John Scott could drop his pants and Rypien can fight Scott's penis. They're about the same size.

Bieksa took out all of his frustration on Stalberg. Kicked his ass too!

So after leveling two Canuck players cleanly, Stalberg is jumped by Bisexual. Victory to Vik simply because Bisexual wasn't man enough to take a hit or fight like a man.

Bieksa gets elbowed in the head away from the puck and decided to take matters into his own hands by beating the pulp out of Wimpberg.

You can see it better on the CBC feed, but after he gets hit, Bieksa taps Stalberg to see if he wants to go. Stalberg declines. Bieksa skates away.

Then Stalberg proceeds to try to throw a pretty good spear at Lapierre before he hacks him in the leg, at which point Bieksa turns back and basically annihilates him. Pretty well deserved.

If Stalberg doesn't want to get killed, he needs to just keep that visor tucked low, and keep yourself out of trouble. If you're going to run around and hit, hack, spear, and slash at the end of a blowout in the playoffs, you can be pretty sure that someone is going to come after you. Stalberg has learned that now.

Typical Bieksa. Fight some European who doesn't know how to fight. Wonder if he would have went after Scott like that. AHHH, right. Scott should ONLY go after other 6'8 guys. Would like to see Bieska actually fight a tough guy - just once in a while !!!!!!!!!!!!

Stalberg running around with a visor on hitting guys while up 7-1 is one thing, but then he's slashing them and doing cheap crap like that? He got what he deserved plain and simple. If you want to play like that you better be able to back it up, and Bieksa is more than a match for the gutless Hawk here.

Camera work here isn't that good, there's a better shot that shows a bloody and beaten Stalberg afterwards.
