Crap call with the instigator. How can the refs be so aweful? Clearly both dropped the gloves at the same time. An instigator penalty here is ridiculous. You could give Shelly the instigator for delivering the hit that caused the fight but that wouldn't be right either. Makes as much sense as lugnuts on a wedding cake! Some people on this board are so tiring. How can you say it was a dirty hit or high hit. Crosscheck? Yeah everyone crosschecks with one hand on the stick. The d pinches with his head down, Shelly cleans his clock with a clean, legal and GOOD hit and finishes his check and people on here who obviously never played any meaningful hockey call it a high hit? That's as pathetic as the intigator call. Come on homers. Props to Boyle for sticking up for a teamate but it was a clean hit on a normal play that happens all the time. No more than 5 for fighting for each. Truly pathtic by the refs and some serious morons on this site.

I like what Boyle did because the head contact by Shelley was bullshiit. Shelley dominated from there, though...

How many times has this happened this year and no penalties handed out. Consistency does not exist in the NHL with penalties........Kudos for Boyle (non-fighter) sticking up for his teamate after a high cheap shot by Shelley Long.
