| Bertuzzi runs a Phoenix player and a scrum develops. May ends up initiating a fight with Todd Gill and they separate from the crowd. They each grab on with their left hand, leaving their rights free. Gill is landing occasional body shots while May waits for an opening. Then they start trading rights, some of which appear to land decently for both fighters. They reset with their rights cocked and May gets in a body shot or two before the linesmen think they've had enough and separate the combatants. Other Penalties: Todd Bertuzzi received a goalie interference minor. | ||

He landed more punches and usually got in better one than MayDay.
T.Gill got the edge/narrow win.
