Someone should really remind Godard

that he just came back from a broken orbital bone injury.

Still looking a little rusty...

the (IMO) Champ does just enough

to edge a strangely subdued version

of..., ''the usually, yelling, and screaming''... Gillies.

Although, the fight itself, had the potential to be so much more,

I loved the, total class...'' nod, and a wink'' finish.

I had Godard ahead on the score card but I think Gillies got a left hook in that rattled Godard for a second or two.
Was expecting a little more...both seemed to run out of gas.
Scoring it a Draw.
Nice respect at the end

this sucker's a draw and a 6. i agree, not an uncommon thing, with #1 wilson's assertion that godard is the "champ." i don't care how many times he loses, or who he loses to. he will always go down in my ample-brained skull as the man who one glorious winter's day, wearing the noble orange and black of the calgary flames, brought down the titan derek boogaard, in stunning fashion.

That was a pretty good, long bout for the heavies. Godard early, Gillies with the best shot. Draw. Job done, lets go the rooms .................
