DiPietro did a masterful job of stopping Johnsons left cross with his face.

It's been a while since we've had a goalie fight in the NHL. Johnson landed the only shot in this fight and he made it count and dropped DiPietro.

Johnson looked like he actualy felt bad for DP, as he showed a lot of class and restraint. Something Dp never has been accused of having. The hardest position in Sports just got harder.

DiPietro initiated the contact with Cooke. When we get frustated we do stupid things as "DP" found out. Not much of a fight so to speak and to bad Johnson had to loose the shutout. Stupid move, DP played a nice game and unfortunately was on the loosing side. Ignore those that voted DRAW or for DP, there as frustrated as him. Sympathy for DP.....not hardly go and look at the Montoya/DP fight in 2007, he has the goalie down on the ice and he keeps pounding on him even when the refs were trying to pull him off. Paybacks are hell!

Dear Rick - you're a goalie... You have pads over all of your body except your head. Yeah, even the Death-Star had a weakness. Duck and cover brother!

Johnsons gives up a shutout to stand up for Cooke of all people. Way to go!

I was at this game tonight and it was amazing. DiPietro started the whole mess, got Cooke jumped on, and really payed the piper. When I saw him hit Cooke, I looked first to the ref. No call, but understandable due to the minuscule amount of time remaining. I saw the pile in the corner and immediately started screaming for Rick's head. Luckily, I happened to glance towards the Pens net, which much to my surprise, was empty. Needless to say, I was confused until I happened to notice Johnson lingering just in front of the red line. He caught DiPietro's eye, shook a glove, and gave him a little "Let's do this" nod. I never expected it to actually happen, though. Much to my surprise RD started skating towards him and the rest, as they say, is history. What an amazing night to be a hockey fan!

Fluery that french *** has no class laughing it up like that. Dipietro would have made that frog look like Al Montoya.

no shame in losing a fight. only shame is not showing up.
