Good tilt...Prusty appeared to make a beeline for the UK off the draw and he was rewarded with a steady beatdown...but i love BOTH THESE GUYS...Engelland for his pure, cagey power and Prusty for the fact he's pure fly paper...bring the lunchbox if you fancy a dance with Prust. Won't be the last time these two tango.

Engelland wins this. Surprised this only got a 5.5, they both exchanged some shots, I'd call this one closer to a six or a seven as far as fights go.

Staal managed to drop Prust in one punch though, it's too bad he didn't square up with him instead of Engelland, eh?

As far as Landed Punches go, I counted 6 for Engelland and 2 for Prust, but the only three that landed cleanly, not off-the-helmet, etc. were the first exchange where they each landed a punch and the last punch before the end of the fight thrown by Engelland. This is still a good fight. I'd score it 2-1 Engelland out of fairness.

Good matchup here. And the f*cking pen homers seriously have some dignity. Yea of course DE won. But calling Prust a "pansy"? How far do you have your head up your a**? Prust is one of the most respected fighters in the league. One of the best pound for pound too. lol is all i can say

Hey people:

Nothing landed by either player.

Draw in my book.

Prust did a good job of locking up Engelland's right, and therefor, not getting destroyed by it. Prust's "best shot" doesn't connect with Engelland's head, but rather his chest. I marked it kind of close, but I think Prust wanted to stop so he grabbed a hold of Engelland with both hands and sat down, pulling Engelland down.

Prust got the helmet off with a jersey jab
Engelland had the reach but just hit helmet

Engelland with the slight edge in this one.

Of bigger concern to the people of NY is that Lee Harvey Oswald must have risen from the grave and attends Ranger games because he obviously shot Prust from his seat in Section 427 after Staal's punch. That was pretty weak for a guy that wants to be respected by fans and players as a tough guy. I assumed for a second that it must have been #16 falling to the ice. Prust has learned well from Avery.

I give the edge to Engelland in a close fight! Anyone who thinks Prust got rocked is bonkers! Bad shoulder and all, Prust will fight anyone even the heavy's! Prusty is a warrior, and the consumate team mate! Engelland is a very good fighter indeed, and is one of a few Pens I respect...

My take on Engelland.....he is the real deal. He fights best in close and is very good at the initial grab of the sweater which many times takes away his opponents ability to swing freely. Also, he throws punches that come straight in over the top versus many fighters who swing wildly. I have watched him for years in the AHL and while he was a force he was never intended to be the enforcer. That being said, he rarely would lose and he is a great guy.

Prust seems to do better than most folks!

I think these guys are two of the better middle weights in the league right now....and as exciting to watch as Hordy and Carcillo. Prust fought a lot smarter than others who went toe-to-toe with Engels this year, which means he avoided DE's big right for the most part. Still edge here to DE, though one of his more boring fights.

And later Stall drops Prust with a single punch to the face leaving him crying on the floor.

Prust was badly outclassed. Only reason his head or arse didnt hit the ice is because he tied up england and held on for dear life. Didnt really even try to throw, as try to keep england from taking his head off.

Not alot of action or clean shots. England landed a couple not all that clean. Prust didnt land anything.

yngblonde1 has it exactly right - Prust "held on for dear life". BTW, was that a pained expression on Prust's face after the fight or just a sigh of relief from not getting KO'd?? When you fight not to lose... you lose... Win DE.
