Troy Brouwer vs Marc Methot

What started out as a respectable, mutual lid toss,

quickly devolved into a ''playin' it safe'' jersey-tug.

I saw the matchup and thought oh oh Brouwer must have killed him. Nope, Methot hung in there.

A few overhands by Brouwer and a few body shots by Methot,
An uneventful Draw ... mainly due to the excessive jersey arm locks.
Gave it a 4.

Swing and a miss.

Brouwer got a glancing left in to start and landed maybe 2 or 3 more glancing blows. Methot landed 2 or 3 body shots. The rest looked like they missed. What sucks these days is once the fighters are in a lock out position, the fight is basically over or a sweater punch contest ensues. In the old days, guys were more willing to take a shot to get into a better position to throw, or they were more skilled at getting into a better position to fight.

while not a horrible fight (the hit was very nice), that was most certainly not a fight of the "take one to give one" class. still, draw and a 5.

Strong show by both man, SOLID DRAW!!

Brouwer.

A decent fight. I called it a draw. Both players seemed to be even on blows, stamina and willingness. As far as Kane goe's he's dirt but his teammates still have to stick up for him.

Brouwer gets several to the cheek of Methot, but an even bout between the two men.

Brouwer sticking up for Kaner, but Methot more than matched him. Brouwer could be far scarier if he himself wasn't so scared. I've never seen a potential heavyweight star more afraid to take a shot....so his efforts are usually half-hearted and this one was too. Good showing by Methot, who while he didn't connect much, did throw with bad intentions. DRAW.

Brouwer wins. Mediocre fight. I would also tend to agree with 'Draw' in this situation simply because this didn't look like a fight with a clear winner. I'd give it to Brouwer though. This fight was more stopped by the fighters than the refs - They're like "can we go back to the bench now?"
