Draw, I thought Winchester should be able to handle Carter. A lot of punches, sweater jabs thrown but not much damage.

Winchester looked horrible and I think he tries to thumb Carter in the eye at the end. He gets the loss for trying to catch Carter's slaps.

Potvin sounds like an A$$. This coming from a life long Islander fan who saw Denny play many times back in the day. Just shut up. It was a good hit. If anyone should have refrained from contact it was the Senators who retaliated . Sore losers and an under achieving team looking to vent some built up frustration using Giroux 's clean hit as an excuse.. As for the fight? Who cares. I'll go DRAW for indifference.

Winchester starts with two rights that lightly hit Carter's helmet. Carter's first punch misses. After Carter falls down, Winchester throws some very light jersey jabs that can't do much more than tickle Carter, since Winchester's hands are pretty well tied-up. Carter gets his hand free, and instead of throwing a punch, he decides to hold it in the air for a bit, then finally throws a right that might have caught Winchester's helmet, and follows with a body shot and then a right to the helmet, finally landing a punch. After this, they both awkwardly appear to be going for a takedown and simultaneously fall sideways.

All the punches that landed were very weak. Winchester landed more (the first two rights, plus the weak jersey jabs), but the body shot and helmet shot that Carter ends the fight with were clearly harder. I almost gave him an edge for that, but this seems like a clear-cut draw.

I don't know what in the hell the announcer is talking about! That was a clean hit that knocked the Sens player on his ass. Get over yourself and call the game right.

who the hell is this stupid announcer??? since when is a clean body check a cheap shot? since when is it not ok for a guy to make a hit just because he isnt a big hitter. what a *****

Giroux's hit was not a cheap shot! It was a clean hit on a player with the puck...who cares if its the end of the game and the Flyers have it locked up, these guys are paid to go 100% for 60 minutes. He didn't target the head, it wasn't blindside, and as per usual, any time a Flyer hits someone it must be a "cheap" shot. The Sens were just cranky that they gave up 3 in the third and a young guy like Giroux put a good hit on one of their players. I'm sick of players feeling the need to retaliate just because a teammate had a clean hit...if someone cheap shots one of your guys you have to protect them, but a clean hit??? Stop whining and either protect yourself or give the guy a clean hit right back the next chance you get.
