One of the better fights this year. Benn with the best punch, Iginla with accumulation of points. Very close. could have just as easy been a draw

Iggy, ask for a trade, the Flame is just about burnt out!

What a homer the commentator is! Yes, Benn did some damage and controlled the fight but he was gassed and clingy at the end. Iggy doesn't care. He has been cut before and he likes to fight. No quit in Iggy. Good fight. I honestly think that they should let guys fight and only step in when someone basically loses. There would be less BS with guys looking for a quick scoring blow or two then clinging on for protection from the ref...not referring to Big Benn here, BTW

This was a great tilt, although Benn should have removed his helmet, total lack of respect and broke the code. In retrospect, Iggy could have left his shield on and those few hits to the eye would have been cuts to Benn's hand from the shield. Iggy looked to be the clear aggressor as Benn tired out half way through the fight and held on hoping for the refs to intervene. Benn landed with better punches, but Iggy wouldn't let up and wanted to punish Benn by throwing left jabs followed by right overhands if he didn't slip near the end Iggy would have continued to throw em. Iggy has a heart of a lion... slight edge to Iggy for continuing to fight after a teary painful eye as Benn gave up and was holding on. Who wouldn't want Iggy on their team... this guy has leader written all over him.

This fight would have been a clear win for Iggy if he did not suffer facial damage. Most time in a close fight I give the L to the fighter who has more damage but not in this case. Benn quit at the end and Iginla kept going to win the decision.Good scrap.

Announcer said "Old bull vs. young bull". Wow. Ben connected twice - once to cut open Iginla but the rest was all Iginla. However, because of the cut over the eye, its a draw.

OMG! there must be alot of Calgary fans on this site. Guys watch the fight. Iginla go his ass whooped. He was terrible in this fight. I know he is a good fighter but he got rocked. Listen its not how many punches you throw that wins a fight its how many landed and boy did Benn land alot of punches, just look at Igina's face. Whoever picked Iginla needs to learn the rules of fighting. Have a good day.

Ehhh, I will make the argument that just because a shot doesn't draw blood doesn't mean it can't be a better shot. (I would rather take Benns first punch than Iggys at 0:44 and any past 0:58 that connected). Maybe its just Iggys reaction though because besides the first one Benns shots don't seem to cause much reaction. Then again we have all seen Iggy when he is upset with something...

If this was any kind of properly judged fighting the entire fight would have been taken into consideration, thus win Iggy.

If you look at the actual combat part....the fight.... it was a clear draw with both parties chucking and receiving plenty. In this scenario you would also have to note the unwilling beat down Benn received after the fight.

Why should Benn remove his helmet? He doesn't wear a ****ing visor. Benn was winning early but Iginla came back really strong once Benn got tired. I'm pretty sure Benn had been out on the ice a while which is why he tired out.

If Benn removed his helmet, great, but he doen't need too imo because he's not wearing a visor.

I was lucky enough to witness this game in person. Jerome is a claas act by removing the shield . Both combatants landed heavy blows. Benn early and Jerome late. This was a great fight by two determined participants.

good fight, benn in the beginning and not taking off the lid and it looked that gave him him confidence 'cause after losing his helmet he just started hanging on edge to iggy alot more active at the end. Iggy is one of the greatest captains in sports
