Behind the play, the two drop their gloves at center ice and grab on with Ott throwing a right to start things off. Ritchie throws a right of his own before Ott twists him around, knocking Ritchie off-balance. Ott then throws a flurry of seven rights as Ritchie falls to the ice and the linesmen rush in.

Right off the faceoff, these two drop the gloves and square off. Fedoruk dives in, landing the first left, and Gratton fires a few rights over the top of Fedoruk's ducking head. Gratton throws a good right combination that knocks off Fedoruk's helmet. At this point Gratton starts throwing wild rights, most of which are missing, while Fedoruk connects with a few well-placed shots while switching hands. The two fighters tie up and grapple before Fedoruk gets loose and winds up with a big left which he lands hard to Gratton's face. They get in close again with Gratton looking tired. Fedoruk throws two more rights over the top and the linesmen break up the battle.

Gauthier throws a big check on Bryan Smolinski and Neil's there to challenge him. They drop the gloves, grapple quickly and Neil throws a couple of quick overhand rights. Gauther is bent over and Neil throws a couple of short uppercuts, then mixes it up going over and under, landing at will, while Gauthier is bent over and then turned away. Gauthier keeps his himself turned away and Neil stops throwing, allowing the linesmen to come in. Gauthier skates away with a cut by his left eye. Other Penalties: Neil received a roughing.

Off the faceoff these two start shaking their gloves and agree to go. They square off and dive in with McGrattan getting the slightly better position. It allows him to throw the three good rights that knock Brashear's helmet off. McGrattan continues with a combination of a straight right and an uppercut, followed by another right. This allows Brashear to get his left loose a and he lands a shot, which McGrattan responds to. At arms-length, the two throw a few wild rights, although McGrattan catches Brashear with one good one. Brashear is grappling, trying to make a comeback, but McGrattan spins him around and to the ice as he throws one last overhand right.

The puck is dumped into the Islanders' zone and Denis Grebeshkov goes back for it, gets low, and Boulton gives him a push. Grebeshkov goes sliding into the boards and Godard goes right after Boulton. Boulton's ready for him, drops the gloves immediately, and the two tie up. Boulton gets in two rights while Godard is attempting to get his right arm free. They're tugging at each other, Godard still trying to get loose, and Boulton gets in a couple of uppercut-like rights. Godard then responds with a few rights of his own. Godard comes up short with a straight right and Boulton follows-up with two good, long, right uppercuts. Godard throws an overhand right and Boulton responds with another uppercut. The two exchange a few more right hands: Godard sticking up top, possibly landing, and Boulton effectively mixing it up, going under and over with his punches. The two are then tired out and wait for the linesmen to come in. Other Penalties: Godard received an instigator and misconduct.

Kovalev is carrying the puck. Tucker skates to check him and Kovalev delivers an elbow to the Tucker's face. Tucker, bleeding badly from his forehead, gets up, seeks out Kovalev, drops his gloves, and jumps him. Tucker lands two hard rights before everyone jumps in and a large five on five scrum ensues. The pair never gets free enough to throw any more punches and they're eventually wrestled down to the ice and broken up by the linesmen. Other Penalties: Tucker reiceved an instigator and misconduct; Kovalev a major elbowing and game misconduct.

Downey tries to throw a weak jab or two, but comes nowhere near connecting. When the linesmen finish with the previous fight, they break this non-eventful bout up. Other Penalties: Each player received a game misconduct.

Tie Domi grabs Todd Simpson along the boards and fires a few punches on Simpson, who doesn't fight back, and every player on the ice jumps in. The players pair off, and after 15 seconds of pushing and tugging on one another, Dandenault and Allison start throwing punches. Allison starts off with a right uppercut, following by two overhand rights. Dandenault answers with an uppercut and they tie up. After a pause, Allison throws three rights and Dandenault makes a few half-hearted attempts to answer before the linesmen move in. Other Penalties: Tie Domi received a double roughing and misconduct; Todd Simpson a roughing.
