Oct 11, 2005 Ottawa Senators Zdeno Chara
2pd 13:06 Montreal Canadiens Raitis Ivanans
Ivanans runs a Senator along the boards and Chara is right in the vicinity. The play continues up ice, but the refs blow it down as Chara and Ivanans are circling, gloves still on. They continue like this and then nod their heads when the gloves finally come off. They continue to circle around and have a long square off and go at each other at the same time. Chara throws the first that lands, then they trade a few shots that do no more than graze. The two big men are now off-balance and fall to the ice, but as they are falling Chara lands a nice shot. When the linsemen get in there Chara stands up and gives Ivanans a shot while he's still on his knees. Ivanans was bleeding and had to head to the dressing room for repairs. Report is he lost some teeth and was cut under the eye. He didn't return to the game. Other Penalties: Chara received a cross checking; Ivanans a roughing.
Voted winner: Zdeno Chara (61.4%) - Voted rating: 4.3

3pd 10:43 Atlanta Thrashers Ron Petrovicky
Olaf Kolzig takes some swipes at a Thrasher and all the players come together and these two get it going. Oct 08, 2005 Buffalo Sabres Andrew Peters
3pd 07:56 Ottawa Senators Brian McGrattan
After the Sens go up 4-0, Ruff sends Peters out, and immediately off of the faceoff he drops then with McGrattan. They square off, then stand at arm's length and whip rights back and forth, but for the most part, they do a good job getting out of the way. Peters then lands a solid shot that puts McGrattan to his knees, but he gets back up and keeps going. They go back and forth some more, with McGrattan possibly getting a good one in himself, and the linesmen decide to stop it. They exchange a word afterwards, seemingly to say "good fight".

Oct 07, 2005 San Jose Sharks Ryane Clowe
3pd 13:33 Chicago Blackhawks Jim Vandermeer
Clowe and Vandermeer get tangled up behind the play and decide to drop the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and tie up, Clowe eventually getting free and throwing an uppercut followed by a right. Clowe throws another right, causing Vandermeer to respond and they go back and forth with rights. Vandermeer gets Clowe up against the boards and throws three lefts while Clowe continues to throw rights. Clowe comes up short with a pair of two more rights, allowing Vandermeer to capitalize and connect with two left crosses. They wrestle around in close quarters until they both get loose and start exchanging rights once more. Vandermeer lands another two rights just before Clowe connects with an uppercut. They grapple as Vandermeer gets Clowe's jersey over his eyes and they exchange simultaneous rights. Finally they tire out enough to let the linesmen come in and end the fight.
