In the Kings' zone the two drop the gloves and square off, circling each other. Kostopoulos goes to grab on and misses while Moen gets off a few punches to the back of Kostopoulos' head. They then trade a couple of rights a piece. Kostopoulos lands his second well, but loses his momentum and falls to the ice. Moen attempts another while he's pulled down.

Hoggan is skating around hitting everything in sight and he nails Brisebois twice behind the net as Brisebois is trying to play the puck. Brisebois goes after Hoggan as they push and shove before dropping the gloves. Hoggan throws two rights as Brisebois returns fire with one of his own. Brisebois then lands three hard rights that knock Hoggan's helmet off before Hoggan just spins and throws Brisebois to the ice. Hoggan throws one while both guys are down on the ice.

They struggle to get free before Drake throws two lefts with Laperriere landing a right that knocks Drake's helmet off. Laperriere then throws a flurry of 9-10 rights with 4-5 landing as Drake throws two lefts in response during the exchange. Drake throws another left as the two wrestle around until the linesmen come in.

Jackman hits Boughner hard from behind as the two come together and drop the gloves behind the play. Jackman unleashes a flurry of four rights while Boughner is bent over. Boughner is sent to his knees and his helmet flies off. Boughner stands back up and throws two rights as Jackman gets Boughner's jersey over his head and connects with two rights that send Boughner to his knees once again. Jackman continues to throw rights as Boughner returns to his feet and misses with two lefts. Jackman throws two more rights before the two fall to the ice with Jackman on top.

Montador continues to throw numerous lefts, connecting with some as Bradley throws a few rights in response during the flurry. Montador then loses his balance and falls to the ice as Bradley gets in two rights while he is down.

They drop the gloves at the blueline and quickly grab on as they exchange locked-out rights. Konopka throws another right as both players struggle to get an arm free. Henry gets an arm free and throws two rights before Konopka pushes him up against the boards. Henry throws a short right while Konopka is bent over and the two wrestle around some more. Konopka gets his right free and misses with an uppercut and a right as Henry struggles to get loose. Henry shakes off his elbow pad as Konopka pushes Henry up against the glass and lands two rights. Henry gets Konopka's helmet off before Konopka throws him against the glass once again and throws a right. Henry finally gets free and throws three rights, connecting with two as they spin around. Henry then wrestles Konopka to his knees as the linesmen come in.

They get the sticks up and start pushing and shoving in front of the benches as they drop the gloves. Hale connects with three straight rights as Mair is holding on to the side board. Mair lets go and the two skate out to center ice where Hale lands two more rights as Mair throws a left. Mair lands two overhand rights to the back of Hale's helmet before ripping it off as Hale misses with a right. Mair misses with a left and hangs on to Hale in order to stay on his feet. Mair throws four more lefts to the back of Hale's head as Hale throws two rights, missing with one and landing one to the side of Mair's head. Mair throws 5-6 lefts to the back of Hale's head while Hale attempts a few locked-out rights. Mair throws a couple of body shots before the two hold on and wait for the linesmen to come in.

Marshall then connects with a big left that sends Peters' helmet flying. Marshall misses with another left and is able to duck under a Peters right before Peters loses his balance and falls to the ice. Marshall lands a body shot while they are going down.

A scrum develops in front of the Colorado net as everyone starts pushing and shoving. Goertzen and McCormick skate away from things and square off at center ice. McCormick grabs on and throws two rights as Goertzen throws one of his own. Both players then almost lose their balance but hold onto each other and are able to stay on their feet. McCormick lands two big rights as the two began to exchange long right hands. Goertzen misses with two rights as McCormick switches hands and throws a left to the back of Goertzen's helmet before throwing Goertzen to the ice.

Steve Ott nails Konopka with a hard hit near the boards. Both Todd Fedoruk and Konopka try to get at Ott while the linesmen and Guerin are in between them. Guerin starts shoving Konopka before taking his glove off, gouging Konopka's eye, and hitting him with a left before Konopka even has his gloves off. Konopka goes down to a knee, gets back up and tries to go after Guerin but the linesmen are already in between the two. Other Penalties: Guerin received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Konopka a roughing; Todd Fedoruk a double roughing. Zenon Konopka did not receive a fighting major. Bieska misses with a big uppercut and then lands a right as Barnaby continues to just stand there. Bieska then throws Barnaby to the ice and the linesmen come in.

Janssen throws an uppercut and a right before the two exchange punches to the side of each other's helmets. Murray lands two rights as Janssen tries to shake off his elbow pad. Janssen throws two rights and Murray one before Murray switches hands and throws a few jersey-jabs. Janssen connects with a wild uppercut and then rips off Murray's helmet as Murray buries his head into Janssen's shoulder. Janssen lands two uppercuts and 5-6 rights to the back of Murray's head before Murray skates away himself.

Both players struggle to get an arm free before Eagers throws four short, quick rights, two of them landing. Hollweg throws another left before they start wrestling around in tight. Hollweg lands an overhand right to Eager's helmet and then rips it off Eager's head. Hollweg gets Eager bent over and throws four lefts that cause Eager to fall to the ice. Hollweg skates away with a cut next to his right eye.

Stewart nails Matt Cullen with a big hit at center ice, causing Stewart to skate very slowly back to the bench. LaRose goes directly after Stewart, dropping his gloves and grabbing him from behind before Stewart is even able to react. LaRose turns him around as Stewart drops his mitts and throws two rights before switching hands throwing a left. LaRose locks Stewart up as the two wrestle around in tight. They hold on until the linesmen come in and seperate the two. Stewart skates away with blood flowing down his face and goes back to the dressing room for repairs. Other Penalties: LaRose received an instigator and misconduct.

They wrestle around in tight as Greene lands a few rabbit punches to the face of Simpson before the two fall to the ice with Greene on top.
