The two come together along the side boards and decide to drop the gloves. They shed the helmets and square off near the blueline as Redden grabs on and lands a quick right to start things off. They wrestle around in tight as the two go back and forth with right hands, Lefebvre getting the better of the exchange. Lefebvre then throws six straight rights with a couple landing as Redden tries to duck away from the punches. Redden comes back with two rights as Lefebvre throws a short uppercut. Lefebvre switches hands and throws four lefts as Redden returns fire with two rights. Redden throws a right to the back of Lefebvre's head and the two grapple. Redden gets free and throws two more rights as Lefebvre throws four short rights to the back of Redden's head before they fall to the ice.

The two come out of the penalty box and drop the gloves as they square off at center ice. Orr grabs on and throws two rights as Godard connects with a right of his own. Godard misses with a right before the two begin to go back and forth with hard rights, each landing a few. Orr throws two rights to the back of Godard's helmet as Godard connects with a straight right. Godard shakes off his elbow pad and the two start to exchange right hands again, each landing two. Orr misses with a right that Godard ducks under as the two wrestle around for a bit. Orr throws two rights and a jersey-jab before missing with a right. They exchange right hands once again before Godard lands a jersey-jab and Orr falls back, bringing Godard with him, ending the fight. Godard skates off with a bloody nose.

Gauthier hits Trevor Linden with a hard, open-ice hit. Bouck skates over and immediately challenges Gauthier. They square off, each player removing their helmet. They tie up as Bouck throws two locked-out rights followed by three right crosses, with one of them landing. Gauthier goes down to his knees during the flurry and stays there until Bouck pushes him over onto the ice. The linesmen separate the two and Gauthier rolls over, holding his shoulder in pain.

Right off the faceoff, the two drop the gloves and square off, each signaling the other to come closer. They size each other up and try multiple times to grab on as Peters signals for the linesmen to stay away. They finally grab ahold of each other as Boulton throws two rights to the back of Peters' helmet. Peter throws an overhand right and a short jersey-jab as Boulton lands a body shot. Peters then throws two rights as Boulton tries to shake off his elbow pad. They spin around as Peter throws a right that knocks both players off-balance and to the ice. Boulton gets in a right while they are down.

At the end of the second period Phaneuf checks Jackman hard into the boards as he's turning and Jackman goes face-first into the glass. Jackman gets up and goes right over to Phaneuf and the two tangle up and drop the gloves. Jackman attempts a right while grabbing on. Phaneuf then lands a few rights before they fall and the linesmen break it up. Other Penalties: Jackman received a roughing.

Right off of the faceoff, Hinote darts after Bieska, almost losing his balance. Hinote skates right up to Bieska at a faster than normal speed and Bieska tags him with a left. They spin around at arms-length as Bieska throws a jersey-jab while Hinote comes back with a long right that misses. The two then go back and forth with long rights that miss the target. Hinote throws two rights before the two go back and forth with rights once again. Bieska misses over the top with a right as both players continue to exchange wild rights that come up short for the most part. Bieska then connects with three quick rights and Hinote throws a right in response. They exchange right hands before they tie up and Bieska rips Hinote's helmet off just before the linesmen come in.

Kesler hits Laperriere hard against the boards, knocking him to the ice. Laperriere returns to his feet and skates after Kesler, who gives him an elbow to the side of the helmet. Laperriere then challenges Kesler and they drop the gloves. They grab on as Kesler throws three straight rights with one landing. Laperriere gets his right going and lands four overhand rights, knocking Kesler's helmet off. Laperriere lands four more hard rights as Kesler returns fire with two of his own. Laperriere connects with a long right before the two tie up and wrestle to get loose. Laperriere gets an arm free and lands two rights and two uppercuts, stunning Kesler before the two fall to the ice.

They start shoving to the side of the Vancouver net before dropping the gloves and grabbing on against the boards. They wrestle along the glass as Allen lands three short rights. Laperriere tries to rip Allen's helmet off as they continue to just hold on. Allen lands two more short rights while he has Laperriere in a head lock. Laperriere gets free and throws a left before he gets Allen turned around and up against the glass. The linesmen come in shortly after.

Avery lands three more rights to the side of Perry's helmet as the linesmen rush in to break up the fight. Perry tries to throw an overhand right and left over the linesmens as the two are separated. Other Penalties: Avery received a roughing and cross checking; Perry a slashing; Scott Niedermayer an unsportsmanlike conduct and misconduct.

As the whistle blows to stop play Niedermayer and Miller get the sticks up, each shoving the other as a scrum develops in front of the Kings' net. They grab on to each other and drop the gloves while a linesman tries to talk the two out of fighting. They continue to wrestle around while a linesman tries to separate the two before giving up and letting them go at it. They tug and yap at each other before Miller attempts a locked-out right as Niedermayer connects with a right. They then exchange right hands as each player tries to an arm free. Niedermayer misses with a right as Miller buries his head in Niedermayer's chest. Niedermayer throws another right as Miller loses his balance and falls to the ice. Miller returns to his feet as Niedermayer connects with three solid rights and Miller lands one of his own. Niedermayer throws a body shot and another right as Miller returns fire with a right. Niedermayer misses with a right as Miller switches hands and connects with two lefts to the side of Niedermayer's helmet. Miller gets bent over and Niedermayer lands an uppercut just before the linesmen rush in. Other Penalties: Jason Marshall and Jeff Cowan each received a roughing and misconduct; Eric Belanger a hooking.

Shortly after the faceoff these two drop the gloves and grab onto one another. Shelley starts off with an awkward right. Boogaard returns fire with a right of his own just a second later. Boogaard sticks with the right throwing about four more with Shelley sneaking in one too. They grapple for a moment and Boogaard throws about five rights to the body. Shelley breaks the momentum with a missed uppercut. Another moment of grappling before Boogaard lands a straight right. He then attempts a couple of more shots, but they seem to come up short, as does Shelley's counterpunch. They're grappling and trying to mix in shots that don't seem to land. Boogaard attempts to bounce Shelley off of the boards and throw an immediate right, but Shelley ducks under it. Shelley then misses with a monster over the top left and falls to the ice. Boogaard gets another couple of rights in before the linesmen come in to break it up.

Hossa and Tverdovsky are pushing and shoving in front of Cam Ward. Tverdovsky's down on a knee and Hossa gives him a cross check. Tverdovsky gets back on his feet and the sticks come up as a crowd gathers. The gloves are shed while grappling and Tverdovsky throws a shot at Hossa who grabs him and starts landing rights, one under and about four over. Tverdovsky turns to attempt to avoid the shots and falls to the ice with Hossa on top. The linesmen are waiting to break it up. The rest of the scrum from before broke up except for Andy Sutton who still has ahold of Erik Cole. Sutton's got his right cocked, but the refs come in while Sutton and Cole continue to chat. Other Penalties: Hossa received a cross checking and roughing; Andy Sutton a roughing and misconduct.

Whitney spears Ovechkin in the groin area, sending him to the ice in pain. The puck sails around the boards as Willsie spots Whitney and goes straight after him. They drop the gloves against the glass as everyone piles in. Willsie throws a couple of overhand rights over a linesman and gets Whitney's jersey over his head before the two are finally seperated. Ovechkin remains down on the ice in obvious pain with the Washington trainer looking over him. Other Penalties: Willsie received an instigator and misconduct; Whitney a spearing major and game misconduct.

They drop the gloves at the blueline as Thornton grabs a bent over Parros. Thornton throws a body shot as the two wrestle around in close quarters, with Parros ripping Thornton's helmet off. They continue to grapple as Thornton throws a left. Parros lands two lefts to the back of Thornton's head as the two continue to struggle to get free. They exchange punches: Thornton with the left, Parros with the right, before Parros loses his balance and Thornton spins him to the ice.
