The two then go toe-to-toe with punches: Greene with rights, Boughner switching hands and going with the right as well. Greene gets the better of the exchange before pushing a bent over Boughner to the ice.

Garnet Exelby nails Mats Sundin with a huge open ice hit that keeps Sundin down on the ice with a bloody nose. Kilger goes after Exelby, but de Vries steps in and they drop the gloves and grab on. Kilger throws about five rights with a few landing as de Vries struggles to get an arm free. de Vries then lands a right cross and Kilger connects with a right that knocks de Vries' helmet off while he is bent over. Kilger removes his own helmet and proceeds to throw two rights that miss as de Vries returns fire with a right. de Vries lands another right and Kilger loses his balance and goes down to a knee before both guys fall to the ice. Other Penalties: Kilger received an instigator and misconduct.

Robitaille checks Jay Bouwmeester near the corner in the Panthers' zone. As he turns he gets bumped by Payer. They each turn to face each other and quickly drop the gloves and get in-tight. They wrestle for a moment and fall to the ice with Robitaille on top. Robitaille tries to get a punch in, but a linesman is in there to break it up quickly.

Right off of the faceoff Bouck grabs ahold of Goertzen and they quickly drop them and start to go. Bouck throws three rights, possibly landing one. Bouck slips and pulls Goertzen with him. They're quickly back on their feet and Bouck misses two right as Goertzen misses a right and lands a right. They spin around and both throw right, Bouck misses and Goertzen glances his shot. They grapple and spin and Bouck lands a very short right. They spin and grapple some more and the linesmen come in.

Allen runs Manny Malholtra and Chimera takes exception. They grapple and Chimera loses his helmet. Chimera misses with a left and then lands two solid left jabs. He then gets his left caught in his jersey and misses a left. Allen puts his head down and takes Chimera to the ice. Other Penalties: Chimera received an instigator and misconduct.

They talk while lined up for a faceoff and drop the gloves shortly after the puck is dropped. They square off and Fedoruk changes stances, from lefty to righty. Fedoruk moves in and grabs on awkwardly and throws a right and quickly moves to switch to the left. They exchange a couple of lefts, one knocking Fedoruk's helmet off, and Fedoruk tries to switch back to the right. Fedoruk misses with a right and Laraque takes over throwing a series of hard lefts, a few connecting cleanly, until Fedoruk is driven down to the ice. The linesmen quickly move in to break it up.

Hartnell throws a big hit on Stu Barnes along the boards. Robidas comes over and drops the gloves with Hartnell. Robidas still has the visor on, but Hartnell throws two big rights, both connecting, with the second rocking Robidas backwards. Hartnell re-adjusts his position and then throws another two rights, connecting with both again. Hartnell's second shot is another big one that sends Robidas down and Hartnell with him.

Spiller elbows Pascal Dupuis sending him to the ice. Dupuis continues to lay face down on the ice in pain as Boogaard goes right after Spiller. Spiller immediately drops his gloves and throws a right before Boogaard even drops his stick. Boogaard drops his gloves and proceeds to connect with a right that sends Spiller to the ice, bringing Boogaard with him. Boogaard throws two more rights while they are down.

The puck is cleared from Buffalo's defensive end and these two drop the gloves and square off. They come together, each grabbing the other's jersey with the left. McGrattan starts off with about 4-5 jersey-jabs, a couple of them landing. The two then exchange a couple of rights. McGrattan mixes in a left hand while Peters sticks with the right. They start exchanging rights, each throwing in a left jersey-jab or two for good measure and both are landing some shots. Peters then lands a big right. He throws another that comes up short and McGrattan tosses his own right that doesn't make it while Peters misses with another right. McGrattan is still holding onto Peters with his left, but is now hunched over and he covers his face with his right hand. Peters stops throwing and signals for the linesmen to come in.

Minutes earlier Stevenson missed a hit on Petr Prucha, but still clipped his knee, forcing him to leave the game. It doesn't take Strudwick very long to find Stevenson and drop the gloves. They grapple quickly and Strudwick tries a couple of quick rights that come up short. Stevenson attempts an overhand right that doesn't connect. Strudwick throw his own right that misses. Stevenson goes back to the overhand right that Strudwick avoids. The momentum of Stevenson's miss sends him to the ice with Strudwick on top.

Orr knocks Michal Handzus to the ice with a hit along the boards. Brashear is next to the impact and skates right after Orr. Brashear shoves Orr before they drop the gloves and tie up. They both attempt a couple of overhand rights as Brashear misses with a long right. They wrestle around in tight as Orr lands some rabbit punches. Brashear lands a left to the side of Orr's helmet before they wrestle up against the boards. They exchange punches before Brashear throws a flurry of six left hands, with about four landing. Orr ducks away from the punches, sticking his head over the bench while Brashear has his left hand cocked. The linesmen then come in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Brashear received a roughing.

Bouck hits Donovan hard against the boards, sending Donovan to the ice. Donovan skates right after Bouck and they drop the gloves. They wrestle around in tight and Bouck throws two overhand rights while trying to rip Donovan's helmet off. Bouck throws two more rights as the two skate into the boards. Donovan lands a short right to the back of Bouck's head before Bouck slams him to the ice, ending the fight. Other Penalties: Donovan received a roughing.

Right after the faceoff the two come together and begin to push and shove. Iginla challenges him and they drop the gloves. Kesler starts things off with seven straight rights with about three connecting as Iginla lands two rights of his own. They wrestle around as Iginla rips Kesler's helmet off. They grapple some more and Iginla finally gets loose and throws two rights, with one landing to the side of Kesler's face. They go back and forth with punches: Iginla with rights, Kesler with lefts. Iginla then throws a body shot before they wrestle around in close quarters. Iginla switches hands and throws five lefts with a few connecting as Kesler throws a left. Kesler then lands two rights as Iginla lands a left. Iginla lands a big right and the two begin to exchange right hands once again. They go back and forth with some more punches, both fighters obviously fatigued as Iginla shakes his elbow pad off. They each land two rights before Iginla misses with two wide lefts and the linesmen come in and finally stop the fight.

The two start yapping right before the puck drops, deciding to drop the gloves right after the faceoff. They square off before Campbell grabs on as Petrovicky throws a few jersey-jabs. Petrovicky then throws two rights, with one connecting. Campbell comes back with a right to the side of Petrovicky's helmet before landing an uppercut. Petrovicky throws five straight rights to the back of Campbell's head, knocking his helmet off. Petrovicky then loses his balance and falls to the ice as Campbell lands a right while Petrovicky is trying to return to his feet. They fall to the ice as Petrovicky throws two quick rights while they are down.
