Nice long squareoff. Brookbank lunges in and both players grab the jerseys with the left and start throwing rights. Brookbank throws three rights, with two looking to connect to Godard's forehead, knocking his helmet off. Godard throws a couple of rights that connect. Brookbank ducks his head to miss more rights and Godard throws a couple of uppercuts that come up short as Brookbank almost has his jersey pulled over his head. Wade straightens up and they each throw several rights with a couple landing in a nice exchange. Godard gets Brookbank off-balance and they both tumble to the ice.

Cummins is looking for anyone to go and Robbie is game. Cummins is throwing rights and landing most of them, DiMaio is cut somewhere along the bridge of his nose. DiMaio is throwing lefts to combat Cummins, but then he switches to the right and BAM! nails Cummins. Cummins goes down, but I don't know if it was a slip or from the hit. Very spirited. Other Penalties: Cody McCormick received a roughing.

Erskine checks McAllister on an icing and they drop the gloves. McAllister startes with a bomb right and Erskine responds with one of his own. They trade a couple more each then Erskine tags McAllister and McAllister goes down.

On a B's PP, Lapointe is parked in front of Cloutier. Cloutier slashes him and Lapointe returns, then Allen comes in and clears Lapointe out and gives him a face wash. Lapointe shoves back and they go, the ref gets in the way of the camera at the beginning. Lapointe is in close and eats a couple of rights to the side of the head. Lapointe attempts a couple, but comes up short and eats another two rights to the side of the head. Lapointe then tries getting underneath and lifting Allen up to no avail and Allen gets him down and could have nailed him, but held back.

Right at the faceoff that started the third period Stevenson and Simon drops the gloves. Simon tries about five punches and connects with a couple in the back of the head and gets the takedown. Stevenson tried a couple, but didn't really connect with anything.

Richardson throws a good open ice hit on Murray putting him to the ice. Knuble has a word for him, then Thornton comes in, they have words then drop em. They grapple a bit and Thornton, with his reach, gets a good hold with his right and starts throwing left uppercuts. He lands a few, with one good one snapping Luke's head back. Thornton seemed to have him where he could have pounded Luke, but started throwing those hold-the-collar-rights, which did nothing. Richardson throws an in-close punch from the side, a right that hits helmet, then tries the takedown, but Joe throws a tomahawk shot which makes Luke hit the ice first. Other Penalties: Thornton received an instigator and misconduct.

It started during a scrum after a Ling slash, looked like all was done and then Gill and Shelley drop em. Gill is trying to hold Shelley off, Shelley attempts to throw punches which didn't look to connect then on comes the commercial! Replay showed nothing much happening after that though. Other Penalties: David Ling received a slashing.

There's a scrum, and they break off from the pack and have a spirited little bout. Berry lands some early, but Sarich seems to outlast him. Good right by Sarich cuts Berry. Berry is gassed from the end and comes out of his jersey before they fall. Other Penalties: Olaf Kolzig received a roughing; John Grahame a leaving the crease; Alexander Svitov a slashing.

Davison crushes a St. Louis player and Mayers comes in to defend his teammate. They wrestle for about ten seconds, with Mayers attempting unsuccessfully to throw about three punches. Then they fall. Other Penalties: Mayers received an instigator and misconduct.

Avery lands one or two rights, getting McCabe to his knees. Avery hits the bigger man twice while he is down. McCabe gets back up, and they both throw some punches which appear to miss. But Avery still seems to have the upper hand, until McCabe tackles him to the ice -- and then gives him a shot to the back as the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Alexei Ponikarovsky received an obstruction hooking.

They decide to throw down in front of the Leaf bench. Laperriere is throwing early and connecting with a few downward shots to Roberts' head as he is having trouble standing up straight. Roberts recovers and tries to get the pistons firing, missing on most. He manages to land one before they start to wrestle. Roberts then shoves Lappy into the boards, along the bench, and Kaberle opens the door to the bench allowing Lapperiere to fall.

During play, they agree to go, dropping the gloves and tying up. Shelley misses with an overhand right as Neil moves his head to the side. Neil lands a weak right. Shelley nails him with a solid right of his own, then misses. Neil hammers Shelley with two lefts, the second one knocking the helmet off of Shelley's head. Then they both swing at the same time, can't tell if they landed, but Shelley loses his balance, going to the ice then quickly getting back up. They both land a right at the same time. A few glancing blows are exchanged before Neil lands a rock solid right to Shelley's jaw. Shelley goes down to one knee as Neil swings again. He tries to muscle himself free of the grip Neil has on his jersey, but the linesmen come in and grab them. Shelley barks some parting words at Neil.

It starts along the boards, Hnidy trips as the fight starts. Shelley takes advantage throwing two rights, one lands, knocking of Hnidy's helmet. Hnidy tries throwing something, but Shelley has a good hold of him. They begin to wrestle, and that pretty much continues for the rest of the fight. During all the wrestling, Shelley tried throwing rights, but nothing landed. Hnidy throws a few lefts, which go nowhere and a two rights near the end of the fight, which barely touch Shelley.
