He goes to straighten up and Godard throws another right, Dingman goes down. Dingman's got a little blood in the penalty box. | ||

Sutherby threw a couple of noogies to the back of the head. This fight did not deserve majors at all. McAllister also got a double minor for roughing up Doig, which could have been a single. Other Penalties: Chris McAllister received a double roughing. | ||

He then continues to miss a right, and throws an uppercut while Montador misses a blind left. Montador lands a nothing left to Bradley's throat. Bradley brings an awkard right down on the back of Montador's head. Bradley has Montador's jersey and is pulling Montador down and into him.Bradley misses an uppercut, then a right to the back of Montador's neck. Montador throws two blind lefts that miss and Bradley tosses him on his head. | ||

| Comments: Off the faceoff they drop the gloves and have a really short squareoff. They grapple for position and Ward knocks Morgan's helmet off with a punch to the back of the head. They grapple some more and Morgan gets in two left "jersey jabs" right to the face of Ward that makes him lean back for a second. He regains his balance and keeps Morgan at arms-length with his right cocked back. Morgan tries a body shot and Ward comes over top with a quick right, but it wiffs. Morgan throws a left that wiffs and Ward comes back with about two more lefts to the back of Morgan's head, as Morgan slips to the ice with Ward landing on top. | ||

He throws a couple of lefts and Guerin kind of tucks his head away and throws two rights of his own. | Comments: LaCouture lands a big check on Darren Rumble who had been mixing it up with Messier some along the boards. Immediately Sarich skates over and knocks LaCouture down, then stands over him with the challenge. As soon as LaCouture gets up, they both shed the gloves. LaCouture lands a good left to start. They then begin to trade pretty well with both landing, though nothing looked real hard. Towards the end LaCouture starts to tire, his first game off the IR from a separated shoulder, and Sarich starts to take over. Sarich lands a nice uppercut as LaCouture is burying his head trying to get in-close. They get in tight and the linesmen jump in. In the box, LaCouture is sporting a nice welt above his right eye while Sarich goes to the lockerroom for repairs to a cut. Other Penalties: Sarich received a roughing. | ||

| Comments: At the end of the game a scrum begins behind the net. Boogy grabs Quintal and they skate away from the pile. Boogy throws a right, then Quintal throws a right, Boogy throws another one, but it misses and they get bent over and shuffle around in front of the benches until the refs come in. Quintal still wants a piece of Boogy as the linesmen come in and throws a right over top of the linesmen and really has to be pulled away from him hard. Other Penalties: Quintal received an attempt to injure match penalty, gross misconduct and game misconduct. | ||

About 17 which didn't look to have much on them, but if they did then Brashear's hand is going to be killing him. McCarthy tries to break free and throws a couple which have the same effect as Brashear's, none. Brashear throws a couple more to no effect and the linesmen come in. | ||

| Comments: Puck drops, and the gloves drop just as fast. No squareoff, they just dive right in and start chucking. When the grab on Burnett's jersey comes up, and all he's got on are sleeves, easy to see it wasn't tied down. About ten seconds of toe-to-toe action, Lessard stuck with the left, Burnett started with the right and quickly switched to the left. Each player seemed to land, and it was very easy to see one power punch from Burnett landing squarely, but Lessard seemed to eat it up. They get in close, Burnett attempts to get Lessard bent over, so Lessard goes for the takedown. Other Penalties: Burnett received a game misconduct. | ||
