Darcy Tucker |
| Off the draw Tucker just drops his gloves and waits for Ritchie to drop his, as soon as Ritchie does he catches Tucker off-guard and throws about three punches at will. Tucker then starts throwing as well, not much landing for either guy in this flurry. Tucker then went down hard, seemed as though he was off-balance, but it might have been a punch it happened really fast. Tucker went off for repairs. |

Denis Gauthier |
| Gauthier attempts to throw a typical Gauthier hip-check on an Oiler. Smith doesn't like this, so he goes after Gauthier. This gets him the instigator. A scrum ensues and out of this scrum, Smith and Gauthier have the gloves off. Smith hits Gauthier with about five short rights to the back of the head. They were in really tight, then Gauthier takes Smith down. None of Smith's punches did any damage, but he was the only one throwing. Other Penalties: Smith received an instigator and misconduct. |

| Lindros and O'Donnell get together. Sean gives him a hard slash, Lindros responds and Sean drops the gloves. Eric hesitates and in comes Simon and Barnaby, as well as Moran. Lindros finally drops them, but the main attraction is Barnaby vs. Moran. They skate away from the scrum and Barnaby is able to get Moran's helmet off. He begins throwing rights, landing about five of them and then Moran gets the right going, responding with a few. Barnaby's five rights appear to do some damage, he then mixes in a left. Moran then gets the left going and they are going toe to toe for a good 15 seconds. Finally they take a break, but skate towards center ice. They each would land a few more shots before tiring and the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Eric Lindros received a high sticking; Sean O'Donnell a roughing. |

| Petro takes a 30-foot run at Vandy as the puck is cleared and Vandy gives Petro a little slash and off with the gloves. They have a short squareoff as they both taunt each other, asking to come in first. Finally they come together and Vandy takes control, landing two lefts. They tie up, Vandy switches to the right and throws about three, two landing, one hitting shoulder. Petro tries a right that is short. Then Vandy pops Petro with a left that sends him off-balance. As he falls to a knee Vandy feeds him about five more lefts as the linesmen come in. |

| Rupp and Nichol are exchanging pleasantries near the benches and White skates over, as does Moen, and the gloves fly. No squareoff. They both grab on and are slightly off-balance. They both get rights free and bring them back cocked, but since they are both off-balance they are unable to throw anything. Eventually, White throws one that does little damage. They spin around and Moen throws a right that appears to come up short. Moen then lands a decent punch that forces the off-balanced White to stumble. He gets up and takes down Moen to end the scrap. |

| Canucks go up 1-0. On the next shift Laraque invites May to go. May hesitates, then nods. Laraque drops his gloves as the linesman tries to get in there, but he moves aside as May drops his gloves. Laraque goes for the grab, and May starts throwing lefts. He threw two, which didn't land as Laraque is pawing at May's helmet. May throws a couple of more lefts. At this point, Laraque stops going for May's hat and throws a few big lefts, about three or four, landing a couple. May loses his and goes to the ice. |
