Hall had just leveled Zherdev on a hit that Richardson didn't like, so Richardson went after him. Looked like Richardson tagged Hall pretty well, but also took one, then slipped and it was over.

This fight started late after a whistle. Malone was bent over and Kubina was throwing punches, but none were really landing because Malone was bent over protecting himself.

Big scrum in front of the Hawks' net. Horcoff and henry come together against the boards. Henry has a bear hug on and lets go of his grip. Horcoff grazes a right off of Henry's temple, then another to the top of Henry's helmet. From the punch Horcoff falls face first into the boards while Henry is ready to let the rights fly. Henry holds off and then the linesmen grab his right before he can reconsider.

They start off in-close with Thornton throwing about three or four lefts. Laraque counters with a couple of lefts of his own. Laraque throws two more, and loses his footing. Thornton throws a right, and takes Laraque to the ice.

Pushing and shoving in front of the net is what sets this one off. Camera is slow getting there, when it does, both guys are on the ice. They both get up and the linesmen jump in.

Doig rushes Cole and checks him practically into the Canes' bench. They both sling the gloves off, Cole grabs Doig's jersey and hangs on. Doig throws some roundhouses that catch shoulder. Doig gets Cole's jersey up around his head, and looks to land one really solid uppercut on Cole. Cole backs out of his jersey and grabs Doig and nearly wrestles him into the Canes' bench.

Starts off the faceoff in the Canes' zone to the right of Weekes. Verot throws some shots going in, nothing looked to seriously land. Boughner throws one or two light punches right at the tie-up, one lands, but nothing to it. Verot gets the back of Boughner's jersey behind his neck and backs Boughner to the boards near the corner. Both are throwing some shots that aren't getting around to the head. Boughner then slips another good shot to the face, but wasn't much behind it. Verot manages to get Boughner in a head-lock, and Boughner almost looks to try to suplex Verot WWE-style. Boughner backs out of the head-lock and has a great position (he's holding Verot from behind). They both sort of go down, not all the way, they bounce back up, and Boughner starts slinging punches, one or two land and Verot goes down. Boughner throws another one or two to the neck or head area after Verot goes down.

The Sharks get something going in front of Markkanen. A bit from that is Kobasew and Dimitrakos pushing. A linesman is trying to get them apart. Kobasew gives him a good shove and drops his gloves. Dimitrakos obliges and they move away from the linesman and grab on to each other. Dimitrakos throws two rights that land, then they turn and Dimitrakos lands another right that gets Kobasew off-balance. Dimitrakos then literally picks Kobasew off the ice and throws another hard right while putting him down on the ice and landing on top of him (with his elbow). They wrestle on the ice while the linesmen break it up. Kobasew skated off fine, but it was all Dimitrakos. Other Penalties: Robyn Regehr received a high sticking.

When the cameras first got there, Downey was on his knee. They then threw nothing and Downey fell to the knee again. Big-time balance problem as they were pretty mobile. Not much landed, mostly a struggle to stay on two skates as Neil was lining up Downey, who never got going. During the replay it looked like Neil might have caught Downey with a little jab to start the whole thing.

Drake crushes Serge Aubin with a big hit. Petrovicky goes after Drake, and they have a good slugfest. Both throwing, both landing some, but Petrovicky got the better of the shots. Petrovicky is cut along the bridge of the nose and Drake's left cheek and nose are busted open, he left for stitches.

Lindros gets crunched after he was skating into Washington's zone with his head down and on the ensuing faceoff he goes straight for Doig. They both drop em, Doig tries getting rid of the visor and Lindros has a death-grip on Doig. He didnt look to throw any punches. Doig threw maybe two rights off-balance that didn't connect. Lindros threw him down and that was it.

Devs take a 3-0 lead and you know something is about to brew. Shelley hits Sean Brown behind the net and challenges him. Both are throwing rights. Shelley tries with a huge uppercut and misses. Looks like Brown tagged him once since Shelley is bleeding above the lip. It really didn't look like anyone landed any solid punches, but Brown landed at least that one.

They meet on the ensuing shift after Vancouver ties it on the powerplay. They square off at center ice. They come together and are at arms-length. Brookbank throws a right, Thornton throws a uppercut that misses, then a right which lands. Brookbank comes back with two rights, one lands flush knocking Thornton off-balance. Brookbank follows that up with another right that lands as Thornton is falling down.

Langdon goes rights after Peters. They shove and Peters drops the gloves first after some stalling, and then Langdon. Peters throws three rights, then does an “come on” motion. Langdon throws a light left. Peters misses a right. Langdon lands a left as Peters again motions for him to start throwing. Langdon throws another left, Peters responds with two rights. Langdon throws a right to the side of the head. A couple of rights by Peters come up short. Peters misses a right, but then lands a decent shot. Langdon misses a right, and then both land good shots at the same time. Seems like Langdon is finally opening up as he throws two rights to the side of the head. Langdon lands a left, Peters a right. Langdon throws a right to the side of the head, then a right uppercut that doesn’t land. Peters misses a straight right, but lands it on the second try. Langdon misses a right, then lands a left. Peters lands a right to the side of the head. Each has their right hand cocked, but the linesmen have seen enough and break it up. Typical Langdon bout.

Right off the faceoff these two shed the gloves and start firing toe to toe. Skrlac with lefts and Lessard with rights. Lessard's throwing and landing many more then Skrlac is. Skrlac gets Lessard's jersey pulled half over as they're grappling and starting to fall into the Devils' bench. They tie each other up for good and the linesmen come in.
