Mar 15, 2003 Anaheim Ducks Rob Niedermayer
2pd 00:40 Phoenix Coyotes Brad Ference
Ference threw a big check on Rob, and skated up ice, then threw another one on him, and they both drop em. Refs step back and let them go, but it looks like all Rob wants to do is hug. Brad tries to get the lefts going but he just comes up short. Then he threw a right that hit the side of Rob's head. Niedermayer threw maybe one nothing punch as the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Ference received a roughing.

Mar 15, 2003 Tampa Bay Lightning Andre Roy
2pd 12:16 Montreal Canadiens Michael Komisarek
Roy threw a lot more than Komisarek. Nothing really seemed to land or do any damage and then Komisarek got the take down. Fairly high-energy tilt without any damage done.

Mar 15, 2003 Minnesota Wild Matt Johnson
3pd 11:38 Columbus Blue Jackets Jamie Allison
Not much of a fight. Johnson wanted to get throwing, but they were so off-balance that all they could really do was fall.

Mar 15, 2003 Minnesota Wild Matt Johnson
1pd 13:09 Columbus Blue Jackets Jody Shelley
On first viewing it looked to be all Johnson. They both went to the ice early and recover. Johnson comes up throwing, which keeps Jody a bit off-balance. Johnson lands at least 5 heavy rights to the head/helmet before they both go to the ice. However, many who attended say Shelley got in a hard punch that dropped Johnson quickly before the camera was able to get to the fight, so it may have been more even then most saw.

Mar 15, 2003 Minnesota Wild Jeremy Stevenson
1pd 06:09 Columbus Blue Jackets David Ling
These two decide to drop the gloves and go at it. They grab on and started to exchange some decent punches, some seemed to miss, some were landing. One of Stevenson's rights caught Ling and give him a bloody nose. Pretty exciting fight here, both guys traded and landed some good ones.

Mar 15, 2003 New York Rangers Dale Purinton
2pd 17:33 New Jersey Devils Turner Stevenson
Earlier in the period Stevenson drops the gloves with Purinton, who just turns away. Stevenson gets 2 minutes for unsportsmanlike and looks disgusted that Purinton wouldn't go. Later, they both drop the gloves, but the camera got there very late. Purinton was trying to get his hand free from his jersey, threw a few wild punches that didn't seem to land, and then Purinton falls on top of Stevenson.

Mar 15, 2003 Florida Panthers Darcy Hordichuk
2pd 07:56 Boston Bruins Krzysztof Oliwa
Oliwa and Hordichuk just went at it right off the faceoff. Oliwa was clearly the bigger and stronger fighter and used it to his advantage and basically dominated this fight.

Mar 14, 2003 Chicago Blackhawks Sami Helenius
2pd 02:32 Phoenix Coyotes Andrei Nazarov
Off-camera they come toghether and Sami just starts firing right hands at a turned away Naz. Sami threw about 10-12 in a row with Naz trying to sneek in the ocasional counter-punch. Helenius did not really let Naz get started as he just keep throwing. Most, if not all, hitting a turned away Naz's neck and back of the head. After about 12 seconds of this Sami just grabbed and tossed Naz to the ice with Helenius on top. No real damage.

Johnson covers the puck and Low comes in and colides with May. They start in close and Low starts throwing rights hitting mostly helmet. They hold on more and then Low gets his right free. He starts throwing big rights landing 3 or 4 and then gets in a couple of uppercuts. May tried to turn his head, but Low still landed. Finally May holds on long enough to get the refs in. May was cut around his eye and had a bloody nose. Blood was all over. Other Penalties: Low received a misconduct; Vancouver bench an unsportsmanlike conduct.
